If you get to the last boss when you're around level 20, he's pretty tough. If you've gone the mana/hp regeneration strategy, you might want to have a few more single combat focused pieces of equipment to swap in for the fight.

The "Best Friend" achievement. That's right. My best friend is not one of these worthless wastes of oxygen I call allies. It is the incorporeal beings that I rarely see and who disappear on contact. Because they are literally more useful.

The fact that you share a screen with your opponent means that you can't set anything up. This takes what little skill can exist in match3 and throws it out the window.

If you believe this is the same game as Upbot Goes Up, you do not understand puzzle games. Upbot Goes Up uses a teleportation mechanic and multiple blocks that must be moved at the same time. This game only uses direction changing, and each block is moved independently. It is much cleaner and more intuitive, at the cost of being much easier and having fewer permutations. It's not a game about squares. That is just a joke. This is a game about puzzles, and they are puzzles that are fundamentally different from puzzles in Upbot Goes Up.

The game undervalues runtime (number of steps) and overvalues length of code (number of boxes). Otherwise though, great game and a great learning experience.

The theoretical maximum number of points in this game is 3,932,100, where you never spawn 4s except for the required 15 times to completely fill the board. The true maximum is around 3,866,626, where you spawn 4s at the normal rate. The playable maximum is obviously much lower than either of these. I would venture that 390k is basically not breakable. It's equivalent to getting the 16,384 tile about 12 times in a row. Though if you did have the skill to break it, you'd basically guarantee yourself another 80k points.

@sinarq That is close to the theoretical maximum for points in the game. At that score, you would have a 65536 tile on the board and are well on your way to your second. To answer your question, no, it's not legit. He either hacked spawns or hacked the score itself.

Liftoff 100%: 1. Fold top left to bottom right, 2. Fold bottom left to top right (You are making a triangle on the left side), 3. Fold the *entire* resulting triangle upward, lining up the straight edge on the shape with the side of the triangle that touches it. 4. Fold the now top area down, filling the extra area on the right. 5. Fold the bottom area up, filling the extra area on the left.

It's strange how bad this game is. It uses the same tried and true button mashing top down 4 directional scroller formula made popular in the original Zelda and successfully modified into modern games that include Hero's Arms, also badged on Kongregate. But then the developer makes what has to be a conscious decision to make it really terrible. Slow move speed, low damage, minimal sense of progress...and that's just things that can be fixed with trivial numerical tweaks. Of course there are the more complex game elements like having any characterization at all, or making a good story, but these come later. It's very possible that even with significant improvements, this game would still rate no higher than a 2. So 3.47? Kongregate badges games based on rating. MMOs get badged because they have a dedicated following that rates it high if no one has to get badges, so it's unfortunate, but understandable. What's the excuse for these badges?

From what I can gather the basic idea is to try to get the kaboom bars while keeping up your multiplier bonus. You maintain multiplier bonus by getting the reaction bonuses, which basically means that as you land on a circle, you are pressing the arrow that corresponds to the side the boy will naturally move with momentum. This also maintains speed, and forces you to basically only look at the minimap for guidance. Since you are usually moving up and to the side, if you are skimming the top of the circle, press > and if you are skimming to bottom press and skimming right press <.

The developer takes a concept that would not be interesting nor innovative 20 years ago and does an excellent job making it significantly worse with unnecessary pulsing and childish light shows. It reminds me of a poorly made power point presentation that no one should ever be subjected to. 1/5

This game is trash. Card monsters was actually worth playing. This is a piece of trash. I am absolutely certain that Kongregate artificially boosts the rating of trash like this for money. No one would rate this higher than a very, very generous 2/5.

This game does not improve on the first one. None of the problems have been addressed. In fact, it has made it worse through character control, which adds an element completely unnecessary and indeed distracting to the main point of the game.
