Interface is worse than the first game, sanity has no point to it now that I can discern. Ranking system feels arbirtary and provides most of the supposed replay value in order to get S rank for increase to stats. Still decent though.
Surface rip off magic, except magic is well interesting. Cards are horribly balanced and the comments show that all of the colors can be abused easily. Challenges aren't challenges in any meaningful sense of the word, as mono black vs. mono black is much harder(if we accept that this game's difficulty is built solely on luck) Not to mention that the cards you get from the challegnes are useless for hte most part.
The AI is also terrible in that ti can be easily baited into chump blocking, the last challenge seems to be won by decking more oft than not, which means that you have to survive, not that hard. I've also had games where I just beat the opponent to death after while he has a hand full of cards.
Also, this game needs a mulligan rule, it's already so luck driven that the main trick by the end for me was how many 1 drops do I have?
Money is a serious issue, since it creates a bunch of player traps in making unit selection. Usless variety from waht I can gather as well. It would nice if I could see what hte units did after I unlocked them. Not one of your better games, but als not he worst.
Combat is obnoxious with there appearing to be times that I can't avoid since I have to fall on them and instead I'm going to wind up next to them. Considering how random the blocks are the greater AP penalty for breaking 1 or 2 of them is just annoying since I usually need to break small tings to get to the door and/or the key. Also the first boss is just ridiculous, espeically when I can't see his range and it requires that I a. have a perfect run of the dungeon and b. have to deal iwth a more annoying version of combat.
good game, better than some of hte others you put out, my only complaint is that the speical humans should be looked at a different way so it's easier to see to see what they all do.
This is one of those games that I end up playing when I should be doing something productive. It's not the worst game I've played, but nice graphics for a flash game don't make a good game. Work with what you have and make a better sequel.
It's alright. The young mage competition is predicated upon you know what you're doing. If not then, you just got screwed out a decent chunk of the game and the easiest wa to get more power, which just snowballs, and the rest of the game isn't all that fun since you're going to be weaker then others more often then not. It would have been nice to have a second young mage competition actually happen in 5 years time if you lost the first one. Combat is alright but as people have pointed out there seem to be more then enough gamebreaking moves.
