Not sure what the point of XP is. I need at least 2 to restart which means that after playing the game for a bit I have nothing to do for hours on end. Nothing to micromanage even (clicking aside perhaps). I much prefer Idle games that I can play without HAVEING to wait a day or so doing nothing.
DPS-to-others skills seem rather OP, as other then the relativly common +15% DPS to everyone I have yet to retire any hero with them, sharply limiting my options for formations. This is probably due to your last 2 heroes doing 90%+ of your DPS so other its best for other heroes to just boost them.
It just occured to me, that when you restart (not that I got there yet), you get to reuse your formations from when you began, thus cutting down sharply on the fun. What about shuffling heroes somewhat to prevent that? Or their formation modifiers? That would keep us on our toes formation wise.
Hint: set auto upgrade at 10 global max and let time flow. Check in once in a while and buy the 200 upgrades when they become cheap. once you have all weapons at 10 change global max to 25. Now set Buy in batches to 25 and global max to 200. once everything is at 200 set Buy in batches to 100 and uncheck global max. Done :) .
Auto upgrade is an interesting idea, but has some severe problems. Like not saving money for reasembly for example. Also, I might be missing something, but the options are lowest cost or highest DPS. Where is the option for cost effectivenes? That is what I miss the most in games like this, if not in an automated way then at least an advice or something.
Idea : I'm not sure how viable it is, but could the view be rotated? it would allow for better recognition/apprecitation of what the monsters are supposed to be and might allow for an alternative game mod (challenges?) of trieing to snipe chosen blocks from the monster with as few shots as possible. Or perhaps a puzzle mod? limited shots with your weapons (except perhaps flak) to dismantle a monster. Seems like a fun idea to me.
Unleashed fuel cells needs balancing. I think my problems with selling power and my inability to even use a single high tier fuel cell (new experimantals) might be due to that. And yes, I know it is a rank more expensive then other prestige upgrades.
I think I actualy liked the old game better. No prestige upgrade balancing and exchangers instead of in/outlets (they worked by balancing % of heat capacity. Far less explosions that way.).
P.S. not to mention that I have to actively farm heat because of exotic particles...
I am getting real tired of blowing my reactor (cells to reactor, cooling with outlets) because I cant see if adding that cell overcomes my cooling or not (without a calculator). Takeing a break from the game :( .
My extreme capacitors store about 630 Qu power. I think you can see the problem. They dont even behave like reactors (despite no stated heat capacity) and dump heat into the reactor when isolated. Also, there is a point where adding more vents/removing capacitors just hurts you. I have even tried several EC to split the heat between them and surrounding them with inlets, but they still blew (and more then 3 blew the reactor, not to mention the bugs). Maybe if I could have powerful inlets/exchangers without blowing my vents... or if the EC added to vents effectivness in meaningful manner (to compensate for a robust heat managment structure) they would be useful. Right now, I will stick with my old builds, thank you. :(
I dont quite understand the rationale begind picking the lower of heat/power for prestige points. after all, the purpose of the game is to minimize heat and maximize power and what you can buy reflects that.
Post prestige restart tips : Heat outlets surrounded by vents and solid block of power cells in some corner are the best way to rapidly level up. WARNING! Make sure your outlets are not stronger then your vents!
Outlets are useless if you upgrade them too much. Idealy they should transfer as much as the vents can vent or a little less. Many interesting setups are closed to me due to vents exploding and exchangers taking too much place.
Heat outlets bugged. When surrounded by vents, explodes them one by one. If they are supposed to do that (the vents have, after all, less capacity then what the outlet transfers) they should explode all at once at least. Ultimate versions btw.
The experience points are wiped for each reset, so you can try different formations. And we plan to add different formations and more Crusaders.
