Kiraice, your youtube... pro... 1% dmg reduction... even in normal mode i has my lvl 50 item at lvl 200, i still has 2-3% dmg reduction. Guess i forget to tell that i raise intellect by 2 and endurance by 1. And seems like you challenging impossible fight... Avoid it... Your mage almost naked... Charming. Slow like turtle, come on... with your 40 quickness, sure lose. Quickness is damn important, and i must admit, i give up savant armor item for it. All mage has vampire effect, , quickness is sure over 50, but as i remember, only 3 mage has this quickness. Save some runed armor and equip it when not battle, change to quickness armor when come to battle. Same thing goes with soothing armor. Depend on what my mage lack of, i equip different item.
Kiraice, ranger can use spear... In fact, ranger has 1 melee skill that hit 3 times on 1 target and ignore armor but with only 60% current accuracy. But of course, i never use it on my normal party. In 4 ranger party, i has use it and found it just like warrior overwhelming but much better if you get lucky.
Kill the mobs party as much as possible, i not rush, but avoid fight that i cant win, you ignore a party that has only 1 monster? Playstyle : me:must clear all lvl, you:just clear necessary ones, ignore other(of course not at this difficulty). And i explore as much as i can. In fact, if you use mage, item is pretty much no choice. Only light armor, sword and staff, ring and cloak. With this circumstances, it is easy to get item that i want. I not hit exit as fast as possible, but avoid those fight that is impossible to win. As a matter of fact, my mage has not very high mana gain, but over 15 is easy to achieve and enough. If you has kill all small party, i believe your item will be very good(for mage party, rogue is not easy at this). 4 mage is viable, try to not hit the exit as soon as you found.
Spear on ranger is not really good, the skill is limited, no aoe spell, got a anti-armor skill though. Useless against hydra... Waste foe-piecer. No orange spear... But if you dislike warrior, and need skill like overwhelm, consider ranger. Become an anti-boss machine.
Oh man... kiraice, when you explore(not move, the room must be not explored) a room, you regain some power and healthy depend on your power and healthy regen... @Take 1-2 hit die? Erm... in lvl 9 is impossible... their take 3 hit die(there are some mobs can 2 hit kill, troll, guardian with impact, orc axe thrower. Other than that nothing can kill you in 2 turn), and what you think vampire effect for?
Ok... it is long...Here is some details:
1. Learn power siphon and power problem solved. 6 mobs party in lvl 9 is very common.
2. Try to explore as much as possible, and kill small party and 1 big party.
3. Maybe you didnt equip power regen item? You need it, even in battle you didnt benefit from it.
4. For the 1st time, i use some special potion which i never use at normal mode, that is resistance potion, quickness potion(only against orc axe thrower, but since you has problem with corruptor, save for it) and poison resist potion(poison drake is nothing!).
Kiraice, you didnt read my comment... maybe it is too long and boring. I will write again, in short(i try). POWER SIPHON(this skill is useful, make sure you learn it before lvl 9) solve the problem, at 1st i has this trouble but i manage to get it at my 2nd try. Power siphon is really important at this difficulty. And quickness, well, even in normal mode i has my mage 70 quickness. But of course, not in this mode, but my 4 mage(3 maybe, cant remember, what i sure is i 1 turn kill that corruptor) manage faster than corruptor. It is not hard to get this fast, just need 10(maybe 5? corruptor is not fast at all) more quickness. Even he make image, you move 1st before the image, unless you have same quickness with corruptor, and electrical storm wont kill you in 1 turn, no reason to worry about it. But the freeze will, if you has poison.
Money8giver8, he is talking about 4 mage team in extreme mode with all score modifier on is viable or not. Btw, has you read the comment about dracula tooth from rxc? He say that it is a dagger with 50% vampire effect, it is true?
Kiraice, it is possible, and i make it. Unfortunately, no proof, you can choose to not believe my word. For corruptor, well, if you has 2 mage has sword, ensorclled blade will take his hp about 1/4(can be even less than this if you get lucky). He wont get a chance to make image. Or you just simply drain his power if you cant beat him. 4 mage drain 80 power...The last lvl is a challenge but power siphon solve the problem(need vampire effect too) as 6mobs party in 9th lvl is very common...For some reason, this 4 mage party is very hard at den of terror, the last boss pawn them easily(and i get to something like 16th lvl, i get some good equipment, but very hard to beat.)@ And warrior defiance, i once say the same thing too. With ranger nature balm + warrior adreline, and over 30 power regain, only human has the power to kill you. Of course, at that point i believe the battle will be very boring and damn long.
Legend drop orange(you may thought it is gold, i dont know) item... I never see a chest drop an orange item though... Lagressa, the item drop is depend on your character class... no rogue = no dagger, no ranger = no quiver, no cleric= no cencer, etc etc.
Now i get it... Kong delete some highscore(which is far higher than previous one) because thought us is hacker... i over 2000 kills already... and there are a person has 2700 kills... But deleted...
