I like the concept, I like the pause menu as well but the game is too flawed to be considered a really good shooter. The background gave me a headache, there was no mute key, the cursor was too small and vanished completely and it is made too easy by just staying in a corner. However, I still enjoyed it fairly much for the little time I played it so 3/5.
Wow, I simply love this game! It's rare that I continue playing well after I get the badge. It's insane, such a simple concept that is presented flawlessly and fun! It is certainly a 5/5.
Even though this game is from 5 years ago, it is still one of the best puzzle flash games that exists. It's challenging, but not too challenging that you need a walkthrough to complete and it's crazy fun! It makes you think differently than other puzzle games and I feel really good about myself after completing a level especially if I can do it right away. 5/5.
Alright, so this game lagged a lot for me whenever I bought the minigun and went crazy on those guys but since it lagged the game I got killed easily soon after obtaining it. However, I just got the badge by not using it. What I did was pretty much use the pistol until I had 4000 points then I bought that gun and I stuck with that gun the rest of the game. I only had to heal I think 3 times. By level 13 I had enough points to just suicide (I had a calculator next to me, so be sure to do the math!) and I got the badge with no lag. Good luck guys!
Okay, I found one thing that should be added. A section for mobile badges because it is incomplete otherwise because those badges are added onto Kongregate's total but not Badge Master's.
Wow that was hard. But it was fun! What I finally did to win was make sure it was set to easy mode, then use the golvl2 code (which is allowed to get the badge) and then I made the screen as big as I could, using Ctrl+. I focused on being defensive and always bought new ships when they were available. If I lost either of my guys I reset because you will NEED both of them for the final boss. Now some boss tips, when the screen turns black during the final boss battle simply pause the game and wait, the black will turn back quickly while paused, it's a lifesaving glitch. Also be sure to stay away from him and shoot, while he zooms around the screen like crazy don't try to attack just dodge. Then when he is done continue attacking. Pick up all powerups too! Oh and when he starts sending black bolts like crazy at you while be moves up and down, just focus on dodging them then after that beat the crap out of him defensively and you will hopefully win. Stolen games do not belong on Kongregate. It doesn't matter that this is over half a year old and has only about 1000 game plays, it's still stolen and should be removed.
Wow, at first I was like "meh" but by the middle I was entranced and at the end I felt genuinely sorry for the computer. Then when I was done I went to the Dev's page and saw it was the same person who did "The Company of Myself" one of the only other flash games that touched me emotionally. That being said, he has a new follower!
I thought it was a pretty good game. I don't get everyone bashing it with un-constructive hatred lol. And for those of you who are complaining about not having the second badge, read the requirements. You have to submit your score manually or it won't count.
Very great game, although after level 8 you can spam the early levels with the extra modes which will level you up fast and make the rest of the game insanely easy, it was still a fun experience and makes the player want to go back for more. 5/5.
Like always with Nerdook games, this was a fun experience. The artwork was cute, the gameplay was fun, and it was just the right length to be interesting before getting boring. 5/5.
The game is very easy, but it's amazing. I love the developer's take on the Tower Defense genre. It may be easy, but it is very enjoyable and kept me occupied long enough to get the badge and it was entertaining throughout. It goes to show that a game doesn't have to be hard to be fun.
Wow, after beating the game it told me that if you click the beak of the penguin in the opening it will unlock every mode for you, which would make earning those bonus points much easier. It's clever that they did that, I wondered why people were able to complete the game in so little days. This game is awesome by the way, 5/5.
What I probably love most about this is that you can see how many people actually earned points from badges. This isn't necessarily the same people who have the most points (because everyone on the top has points from voting and inviting others) the high scores show who actually won all of the badges and who has the most points, pure and simple. Should really be integrated.
Cool, I have the high score for most monsters killed this week! Anyway, I haven't read much in the way of strategy in the comments so let me post mine (I beat it with all three). If you start off the round correctly, it will be that much easier to beat it.
Engineer: Start off with the stun attack, then the flamethrower, then the bug (when you get it) and the regular attack. Be sure to remember to heal, and save on gas. For the Psionic: Use the stun attack, then the damage over time, then the regular attack. The Psionic is generally the hardest character to use, so you might want to wait before playing as him. Juggernaut: Start with Stagger, then the Taunt, then the uppercut, then Ground Jacks, then Syringe (do it all quickly). With that combo, you are guaranteed to hurt your opponent really badly before they know what hit 'em. A lot of the game is skill, but remember you will need some luck to have patience!
What I really like about this game is how well the story flows. I also love it when games give very discrete hints on how to solve a level. Even early on, levels like "This... Is... SPARTA" were titled in a way that let me know that I should probably try to figure out a way to push those baddies into holes. And "He Had it Coming" told me that I should probably have that arrow kill that guy. It's very interesting and can make a level much easier just by paying attention to the title.
It's strange but I wasn't awarded the medium badge until after I beat the game and went back to play that level again. Still, that's not the game's fault so 5/5!
Easy way to beat the first hard level, the Not so Vast Forest, is just to invest all of your skill points into extra lives (it's okay, you can change it later) so instead of having 1 life you can have 9.
