Band #3 is very mellow with sparse vocals if you want to relax with shoegaze stuff. Band #2 is really great background music for playing games on Kong. :) More post-rock oriented and upbeat. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to send any new discoveries over! show less

Anyway, I started the morning with Low’s I Could Live in Hope album, not either of those genres, but still good :)

I really love the traditional folk music elements that he incorporates into it…very well done. You are also a fan of “Low”??? Nice, they are a classic although I have to be into that mood as well or I get too sucked into it. Have you seen the show “Fargo”? Well, anyway Low is from the same state the show is based in, Minnesota, and it’s a perfect soundtrack for that region. Autolux…thanks for turning me onto them that’s a new one! Cool, it’s like if the Beatles and Mogwai merged into one band. I just listened to the “Transit Transit” album but will check more out. A lady plays drums in this band too? That’s kickass. Calla is way different…very sparse…a lot of tension in their songs. It’s like Slint and even early NiN. I only listened to several but this is a new one as well (so much stuff out there), so please any new discoveries pop my way. Do you collect vinyl (records) by any chance? Check this one out when you can one of my new favorites: |
