It won't let me attack the castle without two front line units, but I can't find the blueprints to another building type to let me get new units. I found blueprints to an alchemy lab and a market, but that's it. I can't go to another area, except for the tournament isle, and that chick beats me badly all the time. Any help?
I'm not sure what constitutes a great combo or not. It looks like the bigger the circuit collection it is, the more points, but it has to connect from left to right?
the hardest level to beat without getting hit (not counting final level) is level 10. The strategy to pass the level is to use the pulse maxed out. Stay in the middle and dodge missiles. Go to the outside once he shoots the long stream barrage of shots, then go back to the middle and dodge missiles again. He should be dead before the second stream barrage comes down the middle. After 5-6 attempts you should have it down pat and then get your hard badge. Keep this comment alive.
I think that the medium badge is a lot harder than normal medium badges. I've seen some hard badges that take ages to get, but this one is hard as a medium...
I think that the top setting for slowing down the opening cannon selection is too slow. I would like the ability to remove an improvement for this one category if nothing else.
to get the first hard badge, it is fairly straight forward. Use the sentry gun (#2) the first day, and then every day thereafter use the plasma gun (#3). On the last wave use the 4th option and mow down the enemies as soon as you can. Once they are all dead your available cash shoots up and then you can coast to victory.
To beat the dragon, the best strategy I've found, is have a large open floor plan and then a single entry and exit to/from the dragon. Equip one of your guys with as many "restore x hp per empty tile" as you can. He spends most of the time walking around the dungeon and regaining his hp. Given enough time a single adventurer will beat the dragon this way.
I have found that as a poison mage, with a combination of a high poison wave, and paralyze, you can kill any opponent, regardless of their capabilities. Getting to #1 is a snap with this combination. Don't join either the black or white robes and you can get to #1 overall by the end of 219.
it would be nice if we could have some indication of whether we got the treasure or not on a stage. After beating the game I can see which castles I beat with a gold medal or not, but I only looted 27 of 29 castles. Now I can't tell which ones I didn't fully beat or not.
no need to upgrade engines. I put weapons at 50% of shields and finally managed to win. The last level is tough no matter what your upgrades are, but high shields is key to actually getting to the last level. Without great shields, you won't make it past 15-16.
I reset the game when I was playing on impossible mode, and now it appears that the game is stuck on impossible mode. Level 1 I can't kill a single kid.
I find this series of games tiresome. I appreciate that this one has more ingenuity in it than the last one, but I think that the trick has been played out. Instead of finding new and exciting ways to score achievements with piles of dead elephants, look to developing new ideas and content. This game has not inspired me to play it more than once and there is no motivation to unlock the various achievements, as the game gets too repetitive too quickly.
