@Cadris: You don't have to have her go to school. Don't put it in her schedule if you don't have the money. And be sure to occasionally put some free time in her schedule.
I don't think that the rings and other stat increasers should take up space in the inventory. Also, getting into the endless dungeon should be some sort of free, unless you can redo dungeons you've done before.
The gameplay is interesting, but it prevents you from seeing much of the art, which looks really nice. I'd rather have this as a point and click, so that I could see more of the world.
Also, you'll have to succeed at the job, too. If you fail, they won't pay you. I've seen quite a few comments of people making negative money. It's most likely they weren't aware of the cost for food, but there could be some rare glitch or something.
@mybrothersdumb: Are you factoring in the cost for feeding your daughter every month? (50 gold) If you aren't making more than 50 gold per month through work, you'll be losing money.
Example: You work three times at the church, making a total of 30 gold. Then 50 gold is subtracted automatically. So, that month, you made -20 gold.
A clarification in the instructions might be good. I was thinking that it worked like bejeweled (or other such games) where you switch two pieces to get matches. Obviously, while I'm trying to figure out why the pieces won't switch, I get a game over.
