Ahh, managed to do that level finally. Yeah spamming is definitely the way to go. Managed to finish the game. Ending was rather sad, in the literal sense =( A very touching story...
Is the last level the one with a T-shaped room with the green force-field across the centre and the exit hugging wall, suspended in mid-air? God, I can't seem to do that one, even with spamming shadows. It also seems to glitch and lag up when I jump into the wall below the exit. Has anyone else had this problem?
Besides that level, this game is fun and it can really put your lateral thinking skills to the test. 5/5
@ColinRocks123: Just play the game normally like everyone else and you'll unlock Jennifer after wave 30. Using a cheat to unlock her (if it existed) would remove the incentive to unlock her, thus making the game less fun anyway.
@boneblast: Demons are unlocked upon completion of the game (any race). I personally think it is easiest with either the undead (halberdier spammage) or the trolls (mountain troll charges ftw).
Haha, its rather naive to assume that jennifer would be hot. You need to take into consideration that this is a game where all the main characters happen to be MONSTERS! =P
Pretty fun, might be a little tough for some. The pumping heavy metal music really suits this game. The best advice I can give: keep your eye on the minimap. It helps with threat assessment and locates powerups when they appear. 4/5
@guyfox: The fundamentals of advance wars are certainly embedded into this game. While they are very similar to each other, Battalion: Ghosts features its own unique gameplay elements, not the least of which include: warmachines, barracades and some unique units not found in advance wars.
With so many games being produced over the decades there is (usually) little scope for originality and it feels like we end up with a lot of clones. Sometimes however, they can end up pretty enjoyable and fulfilling (which I seem to find in this particular game).
Long story short, it doesn't really hurt to lower your standards a bit.
MadCrimson, did you master the ability before you unequipped the bronze sword? When you use an ability enough times it is considered 'mastered' and you can use it even if you switch weapons. There are progress bars in battle and on the skill menu to indicate your progress for this.
cowmandude is correct. This game plays very much like advance wars, which is also a TBS. Examples of RTS's include: Command & Conquer series, Warcraft, Starcraft to name a few. Give them a look and you'll see the difference CakeIsALie =)
@El Cid: I agree. It's annoying that people complain about the dialogue in this game. It's an RPG for chrissakes, dialogue keeps the plot and character development running. If you hate it, then you probably shouldn't be playing these sorts of games at all.
Yeah, I suppose it could use some improvement as well, but really I'm not too fussed.
Whoa...after following the strategies of the 'comment that is being kept alive', I earnt the impossible badge in one attempt. I guess Madagascar isn't so safe after all =P
