*exiting an alley-way, ran straight on the late end of a proximity mine layout*... DIANE!! DON'T DIE ON ME! *car slowly decelerates... hitting a pair of rails* DIAAANE!! DIAAAAAAAAANE!!! *red screen* ... ... ... ... ... ... ... *DIANE'S THOUGHNESS 8=>9*
Why are units dying seemingly at random?? It always seems to be announced by some kind of speech bubble with... a grey... thing... in it? What is it, old age? Hunger??? Suicidal thought!!???!?!6616
Sooooo... that was tedious as hell. If anyone wants to save itself some trouble, I made public the Autohotkey script that I made and used to make inputting the key combinations for the special attacks trivial. It binds the teleports to Q and E, and the various attacks + heal on the Numpad (no block, but are you REALLY planning on using that??) (NumLock needs to be turned OFF) (sorry folks without a Numpad :( ) https://pastebin.com/1CMwqnBq
Personally, I'd say I'm really not a fan of how your reward (which is based on how much moves it took you to finish the floor) seems to/can sometimes rely more on luck than actual strategy, at least in the earlier levels. Wouldn't be that big of a deal if the fact that it's mostly in the earlier levels means that it could prevent you from getting your first upgrade(s), in turn making the following level(s) harder, in turn letting you earn a few less coins... That can snowball quite easily
PAUSING BREAKS THE GAME SO MUCH! XD
The catapult's animation keeps playing even while paused, so pausing right after firing (which is conveniently possible by simply pressing A or D!!), then waiting for the catapult's arm to get back in place before unpausing, allows you to save some precious in-game reloading time! HOWEVER!! For the ENEMIES' animations, it's even BETTER >:) ---- Pausing RESETS the enemies' animations, so anything from an enemy loading an arrow, to receiving knockback is RESET and WILL HAPPEN AGAIN (from the start) as soon as you unpause! With this, you can hit an enemy close to the door, then (assuming it survived), spamming A or D (quick and easy way to pause) WILL MAKE IT INFINITELY STUMBLE TOWARDS THEIR SPAWN POINT LIKE A STEREOTYPICAL FOOTBALL/SOCCER PLAYER THAT STUBBED ITS TOE!!! XD
Some loot dropped behind the game bar (the one on the bottom right). Naturally, to get it, i went in the settings and lowered the game bar so it wasn't in the way (which means off-screen), then I closed the window, and got the loot.
Then I realized...
The bone collectors still have any bones they picked up at the end of the level. You get them as soon as they return to base.
