Training seems to cap at weird points...instead of putting as much as it can in until its hardcap and giving stats based on the amount, cap instead puts in clones to a certain point - notable is 50%, and anything between 50% and 100% does not seem to give more training...though that might be a display error.
A few more end-game issues...
1. Veteran items shouldn't grow with you..it's way too broken
2. Like gold, you start gaining negative xp at a certain point
3. I need a way to buy more than one skill upgrade at a time...it isn't hard to reach the point where I gain gold faster than I can spend it due to click-speed limitations
4. As others have stated, the game lags hard when values become too high
@donteatacowman 6 would be the most statistically advantageous number to choose...if both finger numbers (yours and the ratman's) were being selected randomly, as your chart most likely implies. The issue with this is that you select your own number to display, thus, regardless of which number you call, there is only a 1/5 chance of the ratman choosing the number that, when added to yours, is the number you called. So no choices you make , outside of calling a number equal to or lower than the one you display (thus making it impossible to be correct), or a number too high, there is no statistical difference of any combination you choose.
At one point I saw what appeared to be a patch of grass floating in the air, and some of the buildings (one particularly) seemed to be mostly floating off the ground. You should at least make sure everything is firmly on the ground, if it's meant to be.
Also, after getting out of the mansion, the first thing I did was see how far I could swim. I arrived at land that seemed to serve no purpose in the game, and eventually "fell off" into water and died. Perhaps you assumed no one would try going that far, but I doubt I was the only one. If you're going to arbitrarily kill us for going too far, you could at least make it a shorter distance so we don't waste so much time.
Also, I started feeling no fear at all once I obtained a gun. A higher level of difficulty once you get guns would help offset that.
That being said, I thought it was a solid enough game, and rather high for a free kongregate game. Well done, and I hope the next is even better!
Eh?
