There's nothing to say about this game that hasn't really already been said. I really like it (despite its occasional flaw), but I'm giving it 1 star for this token crap. Whether on mobile or Kong, I'm tired of developers thinking they're clever for making these "freemium" games that try to lure users in and then slowly leech money out of them by trying to exploit people's impatience. It's one thing if the waiting is a fundamental part of the game, but it's not here. I don't appreciate companies trying to take advantage of me, and I refuse to support those who try. 1 star.
For everyone wanting a way to "reset" puzzles, if you're stuck, just press Menu, Play, and then Continue. You should end up back in the same room but with the puzzle reset. Had to do this because the Towers of Hanoi puzzles (cheese-wheels) throws a fit if you do it wrong.
+1 so others can see how to reset and stop griping about it
I agree the second boss is challenging, but not impossible by any means. The secret is that the bubbles surrounding it are invincible. When they flare out wide, you have to sail in close so that your ship shoots at the boss and not the bubbles. Look closely: shooting the bubbles does no damage to the boss
I'm done with this game. I can get past the linearity and enjoy it for what it is, however the time achievements are a joke. I don't know what's wrong with the game, but its math sucks. Just as a sample, I timed my first three rounds of a game. 1st: 36.6; 2nd: 58.4; 3rd 49.7. Both using a pencil and using a calculator tells me that this equals 144.7 seconds, but the game balloons this up to 204.8 seconds for no explained reason. This is a 70% unexplained increase. If this holds steady, then to unlock the Stony Beach 350-seconds achievement I have to actually beat the course with a time of < 247.3 seconds, which is no more 27 seconds per hole.
Is this maybe what the creator of the game has in mind? Maybe. Everything else about the game can be viewed as a challenge to be overcome however I truly lose interest at the point where the game begins to either intentionally cheat or is just so crappily made that I'm unable to tell the difference.
1 star :| Spent way too much time upgrading to finally land 1945 points and I didn't even get the achievement. I submitted it to the leaderboard and I can SEE IT there, but the game doesn't seem to want to recognize it. Thanks for wasting my time, monkeyshit
My biggest issue with this game is that all of the dungeons are displayed as equal on the map. Some are ridiculously easy and some are impossible (I hit once every sixth time for 16 dmg; badguy hits once every 2nd or 3rd for 33 dmg). It's not hard to implement a feature that compares the overall strength of my character to the collective strength of the dungeon. It would save me the wasted time (both IRL and in-game) of getting creamed. I'm less than halfway through (week 160) and this game has eliminated any desire of mine to continue playing it. It's not a hard template (e.g. Princess Maker) but these people managed to break it. Thanks for wasting my time.
