Nice idea and a nifty little game! Would it be possible to be able to tune the randomization amount the same way you can tune the sensors? It's getting frustrating to watch the algorithm be good enough to do 3 laps, but then having the random modifications mean that out of the max amount, 1-3 make it past the first half lap as the others just make a 90 degree turn straight into a wall, time after time after time. I'd like to see the time improve, but roughly 500 generations has lead to an improvement of 0.2 seconds and very little money gain due to this.
I seem to not be getting job promotion achievements. eg. I'm a sandwich artist, 550/1440 for the next promotion, and bot the mascot and the sandwich artist achievements show as "not unlocked", same in lifeguard career at least, possibly restaurant.
This game is, frankly, horrible and absurd. So much in fact that it's beyond the point of laughing that it just makes me want to cry. Everything happening in this game is illegal, nonsensical or just plain god damn stupid. Now some of that could be forgiven if the game was actually well made, but it's not. The tilt system is a joke. The rocks on the ground are a joke. This entire game would best be described as a joke, but it's not even remotely funny. It's a rip off of Earn to Die, except it's so much worse it's practically an abomination that has been through the meat grinder a few times and then piled together with gum holding it in place.
Just two thousand more blobs and I can get the last update! And to think they told me I was mad to try...." *POW* *End of game* "......FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Please, give us some XP for defeats. Nothing is more frustrating than playing a level, fighting hard and getting nothing for it because you lost by an inch.
The weirdest thing? AT gun position takes one shot, while shooting at a trench from behind it, I have to take at least four shots with my 90mm before I get it down.
I'd suggest allowing the special, be it anything, to be fired by pressing space which allows you to play comfortably one-handed when using WASD-controls, rather than being forced to keep your thumb under your hand or using both hands.
I'd suggest that when you have, let's say, a warrior and a mage, when you are browsing the shop you can only see your main character's items' comparison, which leaves you guessing if that sword there is better than you friend's old one only because it shows your staff. So perhaps make it so that when looking at a warrior item, it shows your warrior's old item in comparison, not your main char's if he's not a warrior. Might be tough to implement, but would make it alot easier.
A minor note, but I noticed that instead of being golden dagger helm, one helm is written golden DAGGAR helm. Would not break my game, but wanted to note it.
It's an interesting game to play, and some of the comments they throw around actually made me laugh. I also like how it makes an impression by having female main character. The music tracks could wary a bit more, but that's not a big deal. Making the upgrades more focused and more self-explanatory, like engine upgrades, different weapons, armor updates, shields etc. would make this more customizable and fun, allowing the player to choose their role. The sound effects are nice and clear, the explosions however... they just lack the kick that should be there. Different game modes would be nice and some allies could show their faces too. Overall, as of now I am giving this 4/5. Good job, but there's still room for improvement.
I just dropped the "last" boss and I'm like "well it wasn't so bad" then the ship just goes into god mode and I'm like "are you f*cking kidding me!" before it beats the crap out of my ship
now you mention it that seems obvious...I'll get it into future versions.
