helpful tip for those looking to get a combo on the dodge minigame: "last minute" means "after the scarecrow turns white." press the button when you see him turn white, don't just wait for him to start moving towards you like I was doing before this. can't believe it took me this long to figure that out.
ah, I love this game. I really like how they moved it to Kongregate, because on the website it's inconvenient to log into your account and then scroll down to your server, and on facebook I get distracted by my feed. Plus, the Kong location lets me make a third account :)
tip for new gamers, or old gamers for that matter: unless you are curious and just want to see what the parasite types of this game are, don't bother growing anything but baxters. it's the most bang for your buck to only use one species.
gah I keep getting to exactly 4900 distance and then I can't go any further. I've beaten this game before, but I don't remember exactly how. Seems I need to relearn my strategy.
I can't get all of the missing kids. in the top voted post he says that 2 of them are in the main room of the museum, but there are no kids there. Everything else is accurate, but those kids aren't there. where are they?
I just discovered something awesome! When I leveled up after doing a mission board quest, I got some new quests from the refresh but a couple of the old quests stayed on the board and turned yellow, and also gave vastly increased rewards for only a minute or so of extra time. I don't know if that was because of the level up, or because quests like that appear sometimes, but it was nice.
so far, my tactic seems to be working. first, i upgraded melee units all the way so the troop drop stuns enemies. Then i started using troop drop and potato strike to wipe out enemies when they're still clumped together at the entrance. Dropping troops stuns the whole party, and the potatoes hopefully wipe out the lower health ranged enemies. And then of course I have a barracks, ranger's den, servant post and potato field, with maybe some extra barracks or ranger's dens if i get the gold. That seem to be working so far, but I still haven't faced the Ent Queen so we'll see how that goes.
funny, if you're still playing, it needs you to kill a specific boss before the egg will hatch. It's actually a system where you get a new dragon pal as you level up, not as you kill monsters like it appears.
I have a 16% chance of surviving the first few weeks and a 10% chance of surviving long term after that. My best estimate for survival time is a few months. My ideal style is in a group, but this is mostly to compensate for the fact that I have no idea how to handle weapons or produce anything, so really not surprised. I also have poor mental stability and would not handle zombies very well.
So basically, I learned something I already knew quite well: extremely sheltered teenagers living in the suburbs are poor survivalists.
i don't even know how to get my raiders to fight. I got the first guy assigned to a quest, but absolutely nothing is happening on the battlefield screen. Help!
is there an in-game tutorial for this thing? i have no idea how to even play this. You can't just start throwing endless tabs in my face with no instructions!
You are meant to have to think about who you can give up to do the missions you really want to do, and what that means for your formation.
