HP healing appears to be rather buggy which would explain the level of confusion. Sometimes you reach a town and heal, other times you get in a fight, travel to 2 more towns before your next conflict and still haven't healed.
I don't understand why people are asking for USA to be added to a game about WW1 trench warfare. France would make sense to be in the game but other armies to play a significant role like the ANZACS, Canada and India did so under the British Empire.
For people struggling on the last level grab the teleport then warp to the green station. Move all ships to the teleport then grab the orange/red teleport. Grab a station and keep piling all ships to the left onto the teleport unless black go for it. Grab the other station, pile onto the teleports again avoiding black ships and if you reach around 300 ships between the 2 teleports you should have enough on hard to warp in and take the core before they react
"You've won an arcade machine, play your favourite training games on the volcano" We needed something to make us laugh after grinding the training games fo so long
As gamebreaking as the constant lag spikes are it does look impressive when it causes you to powerslide from one door to the next with your weapon raised.
Follow does not take into account minimum range as the instruction state but instead just runs into the enemy and either sticks as close as possible or defaults back to random wandering.
Units told to move to a location which is more than 45 degrees off their current path will often wander a quarter of the way across the arena in the wrong direction before turning to where they were ordered.
Default AI is supposed to close in on the enemy until reaching maximum range but instead just sits in a random corner and spins.
Follow ally actually does what its supposed but needs to follow at a small distance instead of running into its target and causing a pile up.
Challenges are slow and tedious (especially 2, 4 and 6) and can't be reset or quit during the fight.
Even if everything about the movement and AI wasn't completely borked the drag interface is still clumsy.
It had potential but there are far too many issues.
I preferred the previous games but it still gives that need to unlock every achievement. I do feel with the stats of the Dodo it would have been better suited to having its own challenge mode rather than as a a game complete bonus.
Axe throwers display ranged damage as 480-600 during battle, jumpers are sometimes ignored by hero, archers and mages even when no other units are within range. Changing magic school caused 3 steam guns and 2 mana potions to vanish. Its a shame about the niggly little bugs because otherwise a good game
RoyalJames you clearly haven't played tabletop RPG or strategy games. When you fail 41 out of 48 D6 rolls needing 3+ you quickly become more tolerant of frustrating rolls. If you hit everytime it wouldn't be very random
I usually find hidden object games pointless but the multi layered screens worked really well for adding an extra element to searching. The game looks bizzare in level yet strangely beautiful and the cutscenes are both beatifully drawn and moving. It's now the first flash game this year I haven't felt compelled to mute and after completing the game without hints I understand the tip to use hints, I'll choose not to say how long the search for that last crillin took. A real piece of art, I doff my hat to you.
"the first flash game this year I haven't felt compelled to mute"
WOW! What a thing to say! Thank you Flatty! Wait until you see our next game! An RPG with an original battle system! I wonder if you'll mute that or not!!!!! (It has really nice sounding audio, you may like it!)
If you're having problems with saves going missing its likely due to the way flash works now rather than the game. I would suggest periodically backing up the flash folder (in app data if you're on windows pc)
Menu popping up every 5 seconds is just plain annoying. I assume that's meant to be a pause when the mouse leaves the screen but just acts like a random popup
Thats pretty much what I did Dkoshi but the last level is easier if you have 2 mages supporting the last sword. In fact cannons can be placed at the front as once the front swordsmen are riding a giant they are safe from ghosts anyway.
