These controls are just a pain. All I want to do is shoot at the stupid wizard, but I keep clicking on the random dudes falling at my chest and eating them instead, which immobilizes you for way too damn long.
Meh. I liked this game much better when Rockstar did it five years ago. The writing's not bad, but for the most part the game as a whole is just a mind-numbing time-waster.
Apparently, if you hire someone from the tavern, then switch tabs a few times, they show back up in the tavern. I just hired a band of clones, all with 4 attack and 4 defense.
The game gets really glitchy if you die and continue more than once without refreshing the page. Such as some buttons randomly not working anymore, or castaway feathers sending you to the title screen.
Wow. This game isn't challenging, it's just annoying. Movement is extremely stiff, momentum feels inconsistent, jumping is just painful, and of course resetting the level is just terribly inconvenient. This is easily one of the least enjoyable games I've ever played on Kong.
Too. Friggin'. Long. Seriously, every level in the latter half takes 15+ minutes - after the first boss the game isn't even challenging, it's just an endurance test. Shoot gun, mash some support calls, occasionally plant a new turret, repeat for 5 hours. And of course the Impossible badge makes you do that THREE TIMES.
The only thing sadder than that is how despite the literally mind-numbing boredom of it, I keep playing. Stupid badges preying on my completionism...
So the game just let me get infinite money. I just bought one player, and in the same buy/sell screen I get the option to sell him for another player. Since the prices are slightly randomized, I can buy low and sell high repeatedly and make as much money as I care to just for trading the same two players back and forth.
I wish that worked in real life.
