See, there's the thing- with WASD, you can manage movement and shooting in (GASP) two seperate directions! I can go right and shoot right! I can change directions! I can swivel! Strafing is built in. With the bullet time in this game, it'd be a breeze. The scheme is intuitive for a reason. Granted, this is new, but this is the reason we have reviews- to tell people when something new doesn't work. Play some classic top down shooters like Robotron; hell, even Amorphous+ and that Cell ripoff let you move and shoot/attack in a non-aggrivating method.
And while I'm at it- What's with the aiming? It's bad enough that you're turning away to fire but when you have to jerk the recticle along with you like a dog on a leash? Come on.
2/5. Horrible design, but still playable.
Allow me to elaborate, after playing longer. Tail shooting is the stupidest idea ever. You claim a unique control system? Bad does not equal unique. When I cannot shoot because the control system forces me to turn away from the direction I want to fire, we have a problem. When this causes me to die, we really have a problem. Games like this are typically WASD + mouse for a reason- one can easily track a given target and evade at the same time. I shouldn't have to sacrifice mobility for destruction and vice versa. It may seem difficult but I bet with a standard control scheme this wouldn't have badges because it woudl be just like EVERY OTHER arena shooter on Kongregate.
