I want more. This is an awesome concept and it's executed extremely well, enhanced by the fact that it can also be used as an educational tool. What you've made has potential to make you quite a bit of cash, in my opinion, so I'll just thank you for sharing it with us.
Unlike others, I had no trouble closing the circles or playing the game at all. I did get quite bored of it, though. Original concept, could have been a bit more entertaining, but that's just my opinion.
Minor typos: Teldrasil should be Teldrassil, Dun Morough should be Dun Morogh, Blackfathom Depths should be Blackfathom Deeps. (Blackrock Depths is still depths, though.) I played too much Warcraft, ugh.
Also yeah, there is an issue with the save files being deleted. I haven't been able to reproduce that though. Anyway, it's decent for a first attempt, good luck with it.
The negative stats bug happens whenever you try to switch to a different armor or weapon while you already have one equipped. To negate it, I sold the old armor first and then equipped the new. Also, the negative stats are fixed if you reload the game. Suggestion: Maybe a "logoff" button.
I don't see how we can tell if we'd like to buy the game from such a short demo... my guess is that this five minute demo includes more than half of the game, and that it wouldn't be worth the full price.
Nice, all badges and Warrior of Legends, tier 1. Potential 298111. I do take it back about the hard badge being easy, but if you manage your time right and have a bit of luck getting the forest and castle early, it's not really hard.
To add on that last comment, the music really isn't bad but maybe it should be used for only the title/options screen. Some variation would lessen the tedium of the game, TBH. Not that I think it's boring, really... but I did wish there was a way to speed up or skip during combat, working and training. Still, 4.5 out of 5.
If you're worried about the hit rate, you should maybe check your character screen and figure out what stats actually do. The badges are all pretty easy so far, but this is a cool game which shouldn't be judged on badges IMO. The music does sound like it should be played in an elevator, however. I'd give it 4.5 out of 5.
Also, Greenmenfrommars, that's exactly what I was just saying. The only reason this game has badges is because it's hosted by Armor Games. I'm guessing they're paying Kongregate.
For anyone who wants an easy strategy guide for this extremely simple game, though: Raise attack to 4, defense to 2. Hire people who have the highest attack, then defense ratings. You'll siege every town successfully, one hundred percent.
Dar1388: You SHOULD heal every time you get to a town. However, there's a bug that will prevent you from healing, ever. All you can do is die or win a battle without fleeing and without the opposing party fleeing. Then, when you get to the next town, you'll heal like you should.
Oh wait. I'll quote and answer myself: "Since wnen have alpha testing games been given badges?" Since they were hosted on Armor Games. Apparently anything hosted there is the equivalent of the holy gospel, whether or not it has innumerable game-breaking bugs.
