before my mind gets too desolated by 3-X to type a comment, I'll just say this is some addictive, fulfilling, and original (I hope) game! There's a potential for a multiplayer mode, a.k.a. a whole franchise ;) For that purpose you probably to eliminate insta-death. Maybe when you screw up, your dots skip a few tiles ahead with some recovery time; that way, you're still in sync with the music but you lose points based on the number of times you screw up. There are other ways to make MP work but can't think of one where it'll look like a race while still having the music sync for all players. As far as this version goes I'm not finding too much of a problem besides the difficulty of just the last 20% of this level I need to finish to get the freaking badge. That long stretch in 2-X with the doubled drum beats is from the devil, but it's passable.

the bee part kinda reminds me of that one Yoshi's Island level and the most painful memory of my childhood

Player: What's Upbot? Bot: Meh, nothing much. Getting slid around in fixed directions as usual.

Finished the game when I realized I turned off the sound on my computer. Not gonna complain of having to replay if this game gets a badge :D

A top and bottom grid will be what distinguishes this from a 2D snake game without bounds at the sides (the ones where you appear from the left when you reach the right end, and from the top when you reach the bottom end). The scoring seems fun though

Reminds me of Cave Story when Curly dies AARRRGGG NOOO WHY MUST YOU DIEEEEEEE
kinda reminds me of Emma Donoghue's novel "Room", although it's not much similar :P
For riot, the annoying pellets only appear directly vertically or horizontally to your current location. This means that you can actually direct where you want the pellets to come from to make space for your movement. Sounds easier than it is, but at least I managed through riot 3 after realizing this.

Boss levels are are pretty redundant. The only way you're doomed (or having to wait forever to win) is if all your units are slow as heck from inbreeding. But still, awesome game : )

does "balls reset when you die" also apply in real life?

This game suffers the problem 3D games have (at least in my case) : it makes me feel nauseous. I managed to finish the game though. Fix the camera and stuff. Otherwise, really great game =)

I saw this guy falling and thought, "What a waste of food!"

one bug : When you use Eos to revive your dead soldiers into skeletons, the skeletons don't attack, and toggling to Will doesn't change this.
This reminds me of Death Worm :D
