I'd love an indication of dangerous words you have deactivated already (or for the words you've already beaten to stay inactive after you die). It's not exactly fun to redo the same things over and over to try and find a solution for one of the later words.
Waiting for the upgrade to be purchased is silly and it serves no purpose other than to bore the players. It adds nothing to the experience. And interrupting gameplay to make a purchase as soon as the money is available is annoying. The whole purchase mechanic is a shot in the foot in its current state. Also, I don't normally criticize games for translation, because I know that can be hard to get right, but it serves to show how little effort was put into rehashing your older game with a half-baked storyline.
The game was great and the puzzles were pretty tricky and clever. But navigation (and the mean up arrow for one of the solutions) was not a fun challenge. I would have loved an indication of the directions I can go without having to hover over the edges of each screen. 4/5
I'd give a -10 stars to a hotel that forced me to run across a long hall every 3 floors to get to my suite at the 40th floor, or at least I wouldn't feel like going to the gym after all that walking, but I guess these people go to hotels to get super fit.
I'd love the option to chose when I'm certified for a new star. Getting promoted to 4* got me into a lot of trouble with customers complaining about the disco bar, restaurant and presidential suites, while I could not afford to buy all of those.
Limiting the amount of turns in a match is a really bad idea, because it limits your deck options to fast, damage-oriented ones, otherwise you cannot make it under the limit. It's a shame, especially since the energy system (and its riddiculously long recharge) makes replaying the level you were too slow to win impossible after a few attempts.
Stamina and P2W aside, cause it's been well established that those suck, I find scrolling the city landscape to see different buildings unnecessarily annoying. And please, let player skip the basic gameplay tutorial, instead of wasting our time explaining the same mechanics we've seen in other games before. The training grounds are a fun way to familiarize ourselves with the game, though restarts should be easier than leaving the quest and entering again.
I really liked the combat system. It challenges the player instead of watching a boring, barely interactive simulation. The controls are okay, though I had on more than one occasion walked to the spot I want to attack from without clicking to the target I want to attack. I wish I could chose my attacks after moving melee units as an alternate control scheme, because I'm too used to that from other similar combat systems.
Overall, not too bad, but the P2W is way too forceful for my tastes, so I won't stick around for long.
A gorgeous and nostalgic game. The music is beyond perfect for setting the tone. The puzzles were not hard, but not too easy to enjoy it. And the sharp lines of the graphics compliment the overal feel of the game well. This was one of the most fun point and click games I've played recently.
At first the game seems kinda hard, until you get the hang of it. My tips: bombs are OP. They can be used multiple times in a battle with a low cooldown and don't have to be bought again afterwards. Ice bomb + push stat on spearmen and knights works great to push enemies off the screen with their ability. And attack for mages to wipe out whole rows of enemies. Also, the open/closed mouths show if the skull is going to spawn enemies after this wave.
Getting the badges was quite entertaining, but all the insane timers and pay-to-win probably won't have me coming back. I have played better card games on kong, but this is still by far the most fun challenge I've participated in. Still a better direction for kong than all those copy-paste mmos.
@maruten My advice is to use the "report missing achievement" button at the bottom of badges. All you need to do is send a screenshot showing that you completed the badge and you'll get your badge after some time. And don't worry about badges of the day, they award those too if you send the report on the right day.
