I really enjoyed what there was of it, 4/5. Would have been a straight 5 if the extra content was available on the PC. If it was a reasonable price on the PC I might have got it, but asking for purchase on a different platform that it's currently being played on? Doesn't make much sense to me.
Really glad to hear that the energy system will be removed this week. Hopefully other developers will learn from this example. Remember that Kongregate is also a community -- without us a lot of the games would be nothing. We should be making a stand against energy systems more often. There are far too many of them on here at the moment -- because we allow it. Push harder! :) And show more appreciation to devs that listen., such as these. Let's keep Kong energy free! :)
@Ninsi - Is your profile set to private? I had the same issue, and heard somewhere that having your kong profile set to private can interfere with adding friends. I turned it off just to see and all the people I tried to add suddenly popped up. I set it back to private again afterwards and it was all fine. Good luck! :)
@ytchy have you checked your inventory to see if you have one? You get a free one at the start. If you've already used that one then sorry, I don't know what to suggest :( Apart from messaging the devs about the bug, but I don't know what their response is like. Whatever happens, good luck! :)
How I imagine the dev's brainstorming to go: 'lots of free players are complaining about rubies, how do we fix this?' 'I know, lets make some of the items available for gold, at overwhelmingly high costs!' 'It... it's brilliant!'
Changed rating from 5 to 1 and un-faved when the bugs made this game unplayable. I won't write them all out here as many others have already done so. Minor glitches can occasionally be forgiven but bugs this major need attention. Given that the devs appear to have neglected complaints, and there being no visible changes or updates for quite some time, I've also flagged this game. Maybe if enough people flag and downrate the devs will either eventually take notice or the badges will get pulled. I doubt it, but I suppose that's all that can be done at this time.
Not sure of the level, but after the cutscene after you see the monster that looks like a black circle with a red eye, it's stuck on a white screen. The achievements from the previous level popped up over the white screen, but then nothing. Just saying this here incase anyone else had the same. Still 5/5 and faved as it's a great game, hopefully it's a minor bug and will come back at a later date to see if it's fixed! :)
It would be nice if the both volumes had slider controls. I like the music and want sound effects, but the sound effects drown out the music and make a bit of a din.
For those interested and don't have the alphabet handy, the daedric letters on the 'player stats' page say 'scroll down' ;) Gave me a chuckle. Apologies if this has been posted before, vote this down and the original up if so.
Looks nice enough but it's nothing special in its genre. Given how many games there are of this type you can't expect your playerbase to be forgiving for what should be obvious mistakes, such as pieces spawning where you can't reach them. I think it would be a lot better if there were other modes. Eg. a middle ground between easy and hard, for example a medium sized puzzle with no picture clue and auto-placing. Easy is too easy and difficult is too big if someone just wants a quick play. Timed shouldn't be a mode itself, but each difficulty should come with the option of an appropriate timer. Anyone can make a puzzle game with nice pictures and pleasant music, it's the actual gameplay and modes that need some innovation.
Really liked it, interesting story and brilliant use of humour. I have to agree with others though, I think the control system need work. Apart from that, very fun game, and I like how you can continue from the last ending instead of having to do it all over again (which also leads to interesting dialogue from some characters!) 5/5
I'm not normally keen on this style of gameplay as the controls tend to annoy me, but this executes it excellently. No infuriating jumps, no nearly getting somewhere then bouncing off the edge. Characters actually fire to where you're aiming. And the music is wonderful. First time I've given a game of this kind 5/5 and stuck with it this long. Great job! :)
Any game that says 'don't forget to give a 5 star rating!' will automatically lose a star from my rating. If you want to remind players to rate your game, that's fine. But telling how to rate is just obnoxious. I will rate it however I feel it should be rated!
I really enjoyed Indestructatank 1, so this game is a huge let-down for me, as I was excited when I saw the sequel. All this game did was give me a frustration headache. The first one was a challenge which meant the frustration was good and felt more rewarding at the end. This one is just flat out annoying and you get no sense of achievement, just relief that it's over. The only reason I gave it a 3/5 instead of a 2 was the vain hope that maybe the developer is listening to us and they're taking feedback in for a sequel, so an 'encouragement' star. We all make mistakes, hopefully this was their flop. If there is another and it turns out as poorly as this, I won't be so lenient with my rating.
Lovely artwork, I think it's definitely more of an art game than a puzzle, as it feels more as if you're being walked through a story of how the hero fought the battles rather than solving them yourself.
One suggestion I have is to change the music when you've completed a level. You have this wonderful art, brilliant and fitting music, and yet you play some tacky, overused sound effect for completing a level? I know it's only a small thing and doesn't really affect gameplay, I just found it to be disruptive of atmosphere. 4/5! :)
It would be nice if there was something like a 'use previous party' option, or some way of remembering set-ups That way you wouldn't have to individually hire members every time you start a level, which can be tedious once you've assembled a team you like. Apart from that, and other small things that could use tweaking as mentioned by others, it's a great game and very fun.
Just a small tip -- if you're planning on upgrading your Shooting Gallery, don't buy bullets before doing so. You get a free refill when you upgrade, as with other extras. (make sure you mouse over to double check you don't go out empty! :) )
Also, I've noticed a few people asking what the loot box is. It's basically a temporary loot holder that empties at the end of each sailing day. You can access it by clicking the icon in the bottom left corner whilst sailing, or at the end of treasure hunting. This way you can make sure you get the most out of your days loot by calculating and swapping, rather than keeping the cheaper heavier stuff.
Wonderful, 5/5! :) My only suggestion would be some sort of way to prioritise minion abilities. I have two proximity mine droppers and they both drop at the same time. Whilst this is great for bosses, it can be a little annoying on regular levels. Maybe have a numbering option for the minions, and also a 'activate at same time' one, too? Again, only minor annoyance so it's still a 5/5
good comment. I'll think about it
