I hate racing games, I make a point to avoid one that sounds like it will be a racing game on Kong for this reason. I have no idea why, but I just decided to try this one out. It's actually addictive... I can't believe I'm actually enjoying a racing game, never mind enjoying one!
I love the trippy effects and the controls. The other thing I love is that it works well with any music. You can play your own, or the in-game music does well in itself.
I came back to this page after 15 months of getting the badge, just to have a look at the recent comments etc. The game loaded whilst reading and the music began. My eyes began to prickle almost instantly. Just goes to show not only the music is moving, but that the game is very moving also, as after a while of not hearing it your mind instantly associates almost everything you felt whilst playing it. I don't care if this sounds cheesy, lol. Still 5/5, and probably laways will be.
Tips that helped me:
With Brian, whatever the odds bet $40. Remember that you get exp which can only be got in battle, so it's invaluable. If you lose, it's a matter of going straight to Andy to win it back. With push, aim for the 30 mark. I found this easiest as it's one of the largest areas yet a fair pay one. Also, if you miss a bit, sometimes if you're lucky you can hit the 50 by accident.
After much practice I was fairly certain I could almost always get 150+
If he has had very few beers and makes an amazing go, bet 10$, walk away and see what it's like the next day. Unless you're great at it and feel you can do it when he's scoring over 200, I don't feel it's worth it to keep trying when he has had few beers.
Up until the last two areas, I used the whale. Other pets are good but their attack isn't worth what you get in defence from the whale IMO. In the last two areas I used the final pet in the list. Hope this helps someone! Hope this gets badges soon, too.
Vwey fun game, also very addictive. I loved the humourous descriptions for the many, well designed treasures. 5/5. My only gripe is that arond the end of the game, I had 9026 gold. It would be really nice if you put something in to squander the excess cash on, even if it's something rediculous. I just feel that this would add that little bit for the later levels. Not a big issue though :-)
Another positive is that pressing S tots up your current total. I panicked that if I did too well early on, I'd have to wait an age before being able to buy stuff. This wasn't the case, if I could give it another 5 for this I would. Even on high quality this ran smoothly.
I can't believe a game actually made me cry with laughter. Floor full of alternating launchers and bombs, a row full of buzzsaws with half that number above it, pressed space and almost pissed myself. The noises are hilarious. 'DMFF DMFF DMFF' 5/5 A game that lives up to its title.
Anyone else shit a brick when it first went ''LEGENDARY'' ?
Really enjoying this game so far. The only criticisms I could add are ones that have already been mentioned, the sorting cards needs sorting out, and all the to-ing and fro-ing with menus.
Otherwise, you deliver your usual addictiveness with this game. I'm pretty sure I'll rate this a 5/5 when I've progressed a bit more. Although yes it does need work, as I've noticed with your other games you take on board and fix virtually everything that people mention, and you keep going. I can see the effort you have put into this as well. Not just all the 'behind the scenes' stuff, but the graphics are a VAST difference in quality, yet you still manage to keep your style. Best of luck with future games, I'll be playing them, lol :-D
Using Shassa's advice, I got to 158 kills (then I got bored)
Some tips for improvement (if you're actually listening to anyone, it doesn't seem like it)
Either reduce the cost of health or increase the amount of health you get for that price. It's extortionate for what you actually get.
Make significant enough changes after upgrading so that you feel it was worth it. The enemies increase steadily wheras you have to play about 3 rounds to afford enough to become at least a little decent. And as others have said, sort the aim and fire out. I can't count the number of times I was furiously clicking (even with max fire rate) because it wouldn't shoot. Sometimes I was aiming at point blank and it still missed.
A criticism I forgot to add - I don't know about anyone else, but I find the numbers almost impossible to read, even zoomed in. (The gold ones, the white numbers seem okay) I think it's the font, it appears to squish them together a little. Plus that tone of gold dulls them. Apart from that, the graphics and text is perfect.
Hmmm, if I were Death, I'd be a little miffed that I'm worth 100exp less than a Mandrake, lol :-D
I don't normall rate games before I get all the badges I can, but I've have so much fun on this one so far that I'm going to give it a 5/5 already. The music and graphics are beautiful. Reminds me of Discworld and the first two Monkey Islands. (If you get Death next to a roast chicken, it looks like he's eating it) I thought the Dragon riders were inflatable swimmings rings at first, LOL.
I like to think that this is a reoccuring nightmare that the geek has, each one slightly different, and we're seeing it how he sees it. All the characters are roleplaying characters that he's invented and now they're seeking revenge for what he's made them do.
Or he's gone to Geek Hell for constantly cheating at roleplay.
5/5 for funness. Main gripe is time to collect after destruction - seems a little unfair that I've just 'claimed' a place and yet I don't have enough time to collect all my 'winnings'. Good luck with the loading screen problem, was a bit annoying but nothing to stop me playing. Advice for the too powerful zombies: I always kept my attack half the amount of all the other stats, which I kept even.
5/5, I'm not that into puzzle shooters as I get too frustrated with a couple of stupid difficulty levels that developers seem to pepper their games with to 'up' their difficulty, but now and again I'll find one where I enjoy the frustration, as I can get there in the end. This is definitely one of those! I really think the site should have made the medium a hard badge, there's a lot of technique and time involved. Or at least I can't breeze through it.
@Aramel93, I have also had this. (Where I have no control over the char in the exploring dungeons) I've tried allsorts and I can't fix it. I hope someone comes up with a solution soon
:-) , getting sick of not being able to get the hard badge.
Brilliant concept but it's way beyond my personal preferences. 5/5 as I can see how it's good, and that I feel it should have badges for those who can enjoy this game.
The slow rolling credits at the end of are genius. To start with I thought 'grr wish it would hurry up, or appear as a block' but then I wondered, how many people that can't be arsed to wait for badges to load has it stopped from complaining, as it's made them wait to load without them deliberately waiting?
5/5 for enjoyment, lovely music and hilarious sound effects. I'm not keen on this particular style of animation, but this was so fun it actually added to their screams of terror.
Apart from the very awkward key controls, and sometimes Snipe going a bit weird, I thought it was very fun 5/5 It actually made me want to get (and have got) a gold star for each level, as well as play for the badges. Few games are that fun at the moment.
