good game, but unintuitive steering and lack of a back to menu/restart or skip instructions' button detracts from it. The last two make it extremely difficult when going for the tunnel vision badge. I like the penalty for pause--forces you to balance between pausing to find a way through or just going forward.

gunner--wields a machine gun that is effective for suppressing. Giving the gunner a moment to set up will increase accuracy. jeep--2 man vehicle. machine gun if it acquires a target is very deadly. Driver and gunner can both be shot separately from the jeep. Jeep itself is invulnerable to bullets. tank--main cannon is large aoe and very deadly. Is invulnerable, and can provide both hiding and protective cover for your men (as long as the tank is called after your men are already on the battlefield) while your men can still shoot. Machine gun is deadly if it ends up hitting. AA battery--fires a cannon rapidly with the aoe of an airstrike cannon. Very effective for large area suppression. Does not upgrade. Will also give a chance to shoot down enemy planes without calling for air superiority, but not guaranteed. Gunner can be shot separately.

Medic--heals units in an aoe around him at a pretty rapid pace, does not fight. Will heal even when suppressed. Since they're cheap and run very fast, they are sometimes a good unit to use to pick up faraway crates. paratrooper--basically a soldier with some pretty good stats. Because they're dropped anywhere on the field, you might lose them and the tp before they're effective. spec ops--a highly trained soldier who starts with an auto weapon and nades. Expensive, but very effective in the early game, but because all soldiers can upgrade rifle and morale with ranger training, not as useful in the later game. engineer--comes with an auto weapon as well. Must be present and physically nearby to build your structures.

sniper--one shot, high damage unit. Hides while he's not shooting. Will prioritize targets in the back of the field or about to cross. When fully upgraded, leaves very little time out of cover and shoots quickly. If you're willing to risk it, can be used to pick up crates because of high speed and hiding. flamer--has a flamethrower--only unit that can hit multiple targets at once: huge hit zone. Will light enemies on fire. Flaming enemies (and friendlies) can catch fire to friend and foe alike. Bazooka--one shot to the center of a tank will kill it. rounds arm after flying for a few meters (about 2-3 units' space) and will strike anyone. Area of effect is smaller than a grenade, and rounds are usually stopped by dead bodies. Recon--can move and shoot, and moves very fast. High in cost, but can be useful if you like to advance rather than defend--usually starts with pretty good stats.

Riddle: officer--improves soldier reaction time, necessary for airstrikes, can provide other stat bonuses (reduce crossing germans, improve morale, increase tp) soldier--basic foot soldier frenchie--basic foot soldier but worse--very cheap, good for keeping up front to draw fire or on his own if you can upgrade him. Can be very effective up close if you arm him a shotgun, although better with other weapons if he's upgraded. signaler--calls in airstrikes and artillery--a basic soldier otherwise. Draws fire when making calls, walks slowly. Upgraded, just as effective as regular soldier.

corn27--luttuch was a german offensive to try to drive the Allied forces out of Normandy: they committed plenty of luftwaffe to the attack. One reason that luttuch failed was because the Allies had air superiority over the region despite the luftwaffe's efforts (which is probably why "air superiority" only costs 1 tp in this game).

killaman--no, it means that a german who has passed your lines gets removed--the onscreen counter doesn't reset, but the in game counter does (the on screen resets the next time a german crosses). elderkingpin--the number of enemies that get dropped doesn't depend on how many soldiers you have. Also, having more soldiers (you had at least 7?) increases the chances you get hit with planes, artillery, and paradrops--the enemy commander considers you a greater threat. sniper123--being in bushes only provides cover, not sight-block:put your guys behind the bushes for sight-block (but not cover). And once your guys gain more xp, they'll fire on germans in bushes.

Nice game, polished storyline, loved the banter between A and D, and the way you introduced missions. I loved the game mechanics (especially the head targets, the way gore was handled, and the complex zoom), although it got a little bit repetitive in some of the later missions. I'm not really reading the sexist line that people are saying--while women often do participate in domestic violence, the vast majority are men. For a sequel, depends on how much harder you'd want the mechanics to be--could do more environmental kills, maybe crowd control (I liked your "flush the target out" missions best--could put "shoot to scare innocents" mechanics to work), or breath mechanics if you really want to up the challenge. My suggestion is that if you can't come up with a really compelling sequel storyline, use your excellent mechanics for a different game--see conartist: the engine he used for Last Stand translated really well into the Warfare: 1917 game. Great Job!

drunkenpanda--save up your points early, think of a defense ahead of time and save your points for that.darksoul--either don't buy so many troops that you draw the attention of artillery or build some bunkers and get all your guys into them when the artillery starts to fall.

wow, I just found the impregnable kill line. I did the operation that lets you start with 20 leftover points from last game and got a tank. Now I have 3 tanks parked at the bottom, a fully levelled sniper, soldier and sig (both with bars), a medic and officer almost fully levelled all in a trench below the 3 tanks. A 20mm below that, and a tank advanced. Small enough to keep Nazis from sending a arty strike and only a few airstrikes, powerful enough to stop everything else. It's been hours since I left this game.

so far only one bug Urb--paratroopers who were already firiing their fg42s will continue to do so with deadly effect when the game is paused.
