I enjoyed this more than I should of, what with me being a manly man. Only thing I can see that might be a bug is that once I got the dance the pirate girls stoped talking to me, and once i had the church the blond stoped talking to me. Also when I paid a monster 20 to stop being angry, it did not reduce my total gems.
For advice, I think you should give angry monsters a different icon/aperance than non angry monsters
the difference between base damage of an ax and base damage of a dagger+(the lower of strength or dex) is negligable. in my lvl 15 party (all rouges) the difference is 1 point of damage . In the lvl 118 party (warior + 3 rangers) the diference ranged from 60 in axes favor to 22 in daggers favor. yes I know only rouges use daggers, this was using their stats for a difference comparison. what this says it at least from lvls 15-lvls 118 that the difference in damage between a dagger and an ax is negligiable, this is because its more than just the 3 stat points you every level its also your equipement, you are going to have items that buff stats other than your primary one. As for ornge items, you are right, there is no ornge dagger, there IS an ornge parrying dagger, it adds poison, str, blinding, and speed. That and a purple dagger, I would take over the ax easy. Of course I dont like the minitaur ax, I would rather have a tower sheild on my warrior.
Well you almost figured it out (and before I finished posting my comment, good for you) but the formula is multipicitive. Base damage*temp buff*perm buff*attack buff.
Thus anoint+power attack =228% (1.75*1.3*100) damage, anoint+power attack+adreinline =296% damage (1.3*1.3*1.75)
I have confirmed these numbers in game
anoint and hide boost skills, I have been anointing overwhelms for the past 50 levels, and there is a signifigant difference. The rouge team I am bringing through right now has been using hide and sneak attack, and if they didnt stack I would be leaving the monsters alive instead of killing them in one blow. It does work, the boost is not just the skill, I can do math, its not hard. I sugest you test again, make a cleave attack, write down the damage it does vs a 0 armor enemy, then anoint and cleave against a 0 armor enemy. As for Ax vs Dagger, at early levels the Ax wins, however at latter levels the Dagger does the same damage (and is faster and one handed). The test, at the store at lvl 118, the steal dagger dealt 1400 damage base, the steal ax 2200 base, for a difference of 800 base damage. My warrior has 370 dex (for his stats the ax would do 60 more damage), my ranger next to him has 411 str (never pumped str) so for him the dagger would do 22 more damage.
entlee, if you are going to make arguments based on mechanics, at least know the mechanics. Anoint works on skills, hide works on skills. temporary multiplies with perminant multiplies with skill. the daggers base damage is on par with sword/maces and then it gets two stats added instead of just one. The all rouge party is viable, but it does require you play smart and understand the mechanics, know when to fight know when to run and try again. So yeah I will concede its not viable for you, as you dont understand the mechanics, but once you learn and start playing smart, you will be able to make it work too.
whoops did some math wrong, its 240+120% poison, still the rest holds true. just remember the party works because everyone hides, forcing the enemy to skip their turn. if one of your guys doesnt hide it breaks down. so target enemy stunners first, then enemy healers, then poisoners, then buffers.
entlee, just use some simple tactics, the only attacks against the hydra heads are blinding attacks, you go first, everyone hides, hydras pass, you either use flash powder (50% blind) or blinding gear on the heads, other two stab the body (sneak attack can attack any enemy, not just front row). With a little life steal your rouges are going to be at full hp after every attack. hide+sneak attack=300% damage+150% from poisen craft (50%base*300% from sneak and hide) for 450% damae each strike Only a ainoited overwhelming adreiniline warior can oust that damage (300*1.75*1.3=682%) but then the rouge still does more base damage (dex+str to damage) AND the warior needs the cleric so thats divided over two folk. the 4 v 6 isnt that big a deal because after your first attack its 4 v 2. Now admitidily I did this all hardcore normal, I am starting up a hardcore extreme now as proof of scale up. Its tough to start, but once your properly equiped it smoothe sailing till real deep dungeon
Entlee, an all rouge party works fine. I have taken one to around lvl 90 before losing (I made a dumb move and play on hardcore). If you pump damage enouph, hide and sneak attack will one shot most enemies. Legendaries arnt that hard once your energy regen is high enough to stay hidden all the time, just need to poisen and wait.
I'm just midgin around on normal dif, I tried to do all rangers, but the tank ranger just couldnt do it, so i have one fighter, and 3 rangers. lvl is 67, my fighter has 98% damage reduction, and one of my rangers has blind target 115, one is about damage, and one is about poison (all points in int) and adds about 2500 poison.
I beat it, on easy admitidly, but considering the towers accuracy, and horibly inificient upgrads, I will take any win at all. The secret is ice indian spam. also never buy more than one grainery (meat is a grain!), as you can sell 10 coin for 20 meat at the oil well, which means oil makes more meat than grainery.
I made a map to find the dog,(start), North,(clearing), west, (water glistening mist), south, (narrow ridge), west, (you now here a wounded animal) east (dog). Course i made this after wondering around a bit, so not 100% that what i said was start realy was.
Oh and for the game proper, 4 rouges work realy well, make sure all your people are FAST (not hard) and hide them all, the enemy team passes its whole first round, then everone kills a monster, rense repeat, even boss monster up to lvl 40 (about were i stoped when i used this strat) will die in one hit. Just remember with this stratagy armor level doesnt mater, only speed and damage.
I beat the heck out of survivor mode with a warior, a ranger, a conjurer and a cleric. my warior was the indestructable wall (30+ energy regen with defiance, and stun imunity via adreinline, poison imunity via natures balm) though i never ended up using defiance cus the rest of the party did its job. conjure had wargolems and agies and resurct. the cleric was prety much just an anoint/benidiction bot (anointing the ranger) The ranger had hail of arrows (which when combined with high acuracy, anoint and inspire killed most of the enemies is one salvo). The trick is to NOT buff your wargolems speed, and only kill the last monster with your wargolems, few things are slower than they are so next wave doesnt get to go first even if your people are faster
