@wrathofgods well at least to pvp you have to start over. OOPS apparently there are people with 10k CP+ instantly and crazy gear and pets. blacksmith upgrades should just be automatic and randomly applied to drops, you can still save/load you just have to wait till you age up then try your luck. it takes longer but same odds. it just isn't fun. also pvp should just be random fights, not spamming fights against people you can beat over and over again. stupid system.
hey can you at least make PVP matchups random? Right now you can kill the same person over and over to gain points. It should just randomly pick someone so you can't spam wins.
just a word to the wise, this game is EASILY sellable if you made it an app or something else. just because nobody donates to your game you posted for free on kongregate doesn't mean it isn't worth creating something bigger. you could also probably sell the code base to someone. but it is super easy to export flash games to other platforms...
do abilities get more expensive to level as you spend AP? I've only got magic to upgrade, and 54AP for Ice Spear 4 is ridiculous when it does like 200 damage. Meanwhile, life leech was never that expensive and i crit for 20 million.
@nadiakasper24 the issue with life leech is that it double dips from STR.
The equation says 100% + str * 0.75% at rank 1.
At 5K strength and with decent endgame weapons and level 100, I'm at around 5,800 top end damage.
so thats 5800 + 3750 = 9550 base attack before crit.
that 100% is an atk score that is calculated from your STR already, so then when it increases by str again, that's a crazy amount.
Also, sword + dagger offhand gives you way more stat wise than any crossbow. You're getting a bit less crit multiplier, but more stats overall.
the comment that says "200 pro ignore = 1000 str" is wrong since pro ignore gets stronger as you gain more str. for example, if you have enough str to do 1000 damage, and enough pro ignore to ignore 50% mitigation, the pro ignore is worth 500 damage given a mob with 100% mitigation. If you have 100 dmg worth of str and same amount of pro ignore, your ignore is now only worth 50...
i honestly think the game would be more interesting and more "idle" if when you got an item it was automatically smithed without user input, and the maximum +level was determined by your stats and smith skill.
save/load is should be taken out as a game mechanic.
It would be far more interesting if you got a +15 item through RNG rather than through save/load spamming.
@evilpyrate CP is meaningless. Your CP goes up based on the skills you get and the level you are. If you unlock a bunch of skills that you don't use, it obviously is a pointless stat.
For CP to be meaningful, it would reflect the stats of the abilities you have equipped, your title, your pet and your gear as well as level. It does none of those things, which is how someone with 1200CP and a medium high level pet can farm the second to last zone with no problem. its also how your CP can be 5-10X more than a boss mob and you get one shot.
hey - just to let you know, manual save / load to max out blacksmith items at +15 isn't fun. Anyone will do that with any gear they have, so you might as well change how smithing works so that items don't actually break. I think people wouldn't bother save/load if they just lost money.
I know if I lose levels from +10 to +9 i don't bother reloading, I just press it again to try and go to +10...
I've gotten 2 legendaries, one of them is pure garbage (19-19 damage melee? I wouldn't have used that as a beginner...)
and the other one is just "ok" and comparable to epics.
The red spider pet is also completely OP...
