There needs to be additional servers so players aren't stuck playing as the faction which is constantly getting beaten. Shards have no chance at getting any DP in the America Server
@savefile679 Crew is how you board enemy ships. If your ship has the same #of crew as the enemy ship, there is a 50% chance to board which is quite useful for ending a battle early without much losses.
When comparing ship info, The stats of your ship which are affected by Upgrades and Star bonuses which makes them look better than the base stats of some higher level ships. Perhaps including info on the upgrade paths of the ships in their info section?
