In the ending, The first main character known as Kamijiou Touma sacrifices himself to finish off the angel Gabriel to save the world while the most popular main character tries her hardest to stop him to no avail and starts crying when she sees the gekota strap in the wreckage.

Sword Art Online: the anime sucked so hard in comparison to the novel. also there are tons of tentacle rape referrences in the novel version. in the original ending of the novel: Kirito dies twice in real life to real life laughing coffin members and is revived….. twice. His best friend Eugeo dies and stays dead and Kirito murders the laughing coffin leader Prince of Hell with the Incarnation system implying that Accel world is the sequel to this series.
