On the first level after the first Macguffin Crystal, I walked onto the same location as the statue and threw my hat at the guard, which crashed the game.
I don't think Patience works. I completed level 5 without upgrades except Fire Rate, and then again without any upgrades at all and I still didn't get the achievment. Great game though otherwise!
You're asking whether you should make it more like an idle, and while that would be alright, I think there are already enough, if not too many, idle games being released around now. It would make this less unique. It could be more like Balloon in a Wasteland, where there are the turrets, but it still takes some effort to complete the game.
Pressing "S" while paused lets you go one tick forward, but time technically doesn't pass according to contracts, so you can make a game really good before releasing it to start a contract by mashing S.
The game is really quite easy in a lot of cases because you can put your home at the border closest to the enemy, and send a guy over to deactivate their first resource. Turn 1 win.
I used Comic Sans MS while testing. Then it started hurting my eyes so I changed to Trebuchet MS.
