agonydestroyer, yes it is. new updates come out once every month or so. Most of them are either so far into the end-game that without auto-trimps they're nigh on impossible to reach (zones 300, 400, and 500 were mentioned in this last update... wtf!) or small, but they are still coming. :D
5th Run in, still topping out after a few days' time at around Z45... o.O
have completed two challenges, one of which (Science 1) will help speed up the early-game quite a bit... o.O
if you're just starting out for the first time ever, some recommended tips-
first run, run to 23-30-ish then portal.
don't assign more than 60 HE (if you got more than 60 HE on first run) unless you don't care for achievement(s); there's one for getting to z30...
second run, run to about the same distance, maybe a little more, don't worry about racing ahead far. and DO NOT DO A CHALLENGE YET...
third run? start thinking about challenges if you want, and start working for longer distance, z35+
will make this game go faster for you from the start.
I would rate it at 5/5 for concept and artwork and platforming enjoyment, but it's incredibly buggy/lags up my computer; I'm guessing it's on the game-side; as the computer rig is quite good. 4/5 for concept and idea alone.
hmmmm, My only issue with the PVP system is the limitations on AP... O.o
I would REALLY enjoy PVPing with about 3k AP, or at LEAST 2.5k AP, but since I'm still T3, I'm stuck at 1/2 of my total AP output, or about 1.6k AP. O.o
del-"tons of numbers"; there isn't an in-game "help" section; however there is a VAST forum with information, you can reach it from in the game (at the bottom of the screen; as long as you don't go into full-screen mode) As well as a relatively light wiki page for the game.
in your first section of elite training, under page 3/7, while describing how careful you have to be with strings, you have this typo: "Do you remember whitespace? Whtespace is gaps in your code..." with the type being the missing "I" in the second "whitespace" ;) I'm honestly not sure if you were intentionally trolling us there, or if it's actually a typo! :D
It's a really fun game, but one of the easiest I've played in a long time... maybe make it have a hard mode, with lower resources? Also, mana and mana gain are both better than bombs.
@gileadR, am I to assume that you're trying to sell those? And to Savvageopress? I find that odd, since several of them were made BY Savvageopress... O.o an item crafted by Kubasaka? That's got to have higher value, just for the sake of the fame of the creator! :P I wish I had items crafted by some players, Desrath, Kubasaka, Dakota337, Faerrolon, Fyrr, Nethack, etc. Just to have the name! :)
dracus Dakkrius, the death XP penalty is 0%. you simply don't GAIN XP when you die anymore. It used to be that you would LOSE XP (and could even lose unit levels) when your units died. stop complaining! :P
dracus, my healing costs are NEVER as high as my repair costs... and I'm currently geared down to uncommons/rares. I was trying to use a mix of rares-and-higher (epics and a few gls) but it was getting WAY TOO expensive.
Your Archer may be weaker than the other races, I'm not sure. But I've found time and again that Undead archers deal more damage to me (in PVE/Coop, nobody I've fought brings archers to PVP's...) due to the fact that they never flee; meaning that 1)they keep firing as mentioned above, and 2) if there are 4/5 archer groups strung in a row, and I'm attacking it with melee, I literally have to COMPLETELY kill each unit to get to the next unit (to attack) in line, since I can't force them to flee; this puts my melee unit under fire for a LOT longer than it would be against Dark Legion or Orc archers. While that might not seem like much, it basically means that your archers are a far better "last ditch" tank than other archers. As a last comment, with 8k CP in the game, I've always found that Undead foes destroy more of my army in PVE/COOP than the other two dark races. In PVP, well... I've lost 2/3rds of my matches, so I can't say that I've seen an advantage/disadvantage to any race...
dracus, I found out the stats on your cav. Yes, it's slightly (SLIGHTLY) weaker than the other cav units. It's also got 2 more attacks per turn than elven or orc cav, (and lets just ignore the dwarven cav...) due to being one of the 4-troop cav units.
dracus; I have checked with wikia for the Cav units... *If* it's correct (and I highly doubt it, because it seems incredibly powerful) then your cavalry are infinitely more powerful than any other cavalry in-game. Like, to the tune of about 2x or 3x more powerful without even calculating for not fleeing.
dracus, I do believe that the LIA/HI also get that 25% more troops. the archers are neither here nor there EXCEPT they never flee... so that's a serious firepower advantage once the unit gets weaker. I'm not sure about Cav or Arti, but surely your Cav cannot be weaker than Dwarven Cav (hahahaha, dwarven CAV, more like Dwarven joke!) and arti? well, it's such an end-game thing that only a very few of the most exceptional gamers actually use it... Furthermore, your HI cannot be weaker than the Dark Legion's HI; they only have 1HP per unit, with a standard unit size.
Dracus... I'm not sure if you play undead or not, but I for one don't want the undead to be an even more powerful race than it already is... (since I have to vs them fairly often) AND BELIEVE me, it is probably the strongest race in the game; certainly the strongest dark race.
as has been said before, the auction needs more sortability- such as frags by type/quality (maybe both?) and so does the leaderboard... I shouldn't have to (as a light) look at the dark players unless I want to!
likely a typo. Every lesson is one line of code for me, so it is easy for me to make typos :( I try not to though
