Once you get to the point where you can simply spend as many crystals as you need (and that money isn't an object in crafting), it seems the best strategy for high DPS is to craft and scrap until you get a sword of craft, then craft the following: Sword of auras (x1), Sword of craft (x1, then scrap your old one), Sword of Venom (x1), Sword of the Brute (x0-1, simply to break shields, but if you don't need shield breaking don't get one), Sword of Growth (x2-3). The swords of growth seem to lie about their attack speed, it seems to keep at a constant 0.05 (99 attack speed stat). The growth swords are also interchangeable, I prefer to swap one with a sword of party for its flavour :) (Personally speaking from mob level 65770, omni x1371 rodent). Hope this helps!
@TylerC323 / anyone else: At higher level of crafting, especially while recrafting triumphant swords, the game detects pretty much all crafts as lower level, so if you know you could make another triumphant sword which is better than one you have, scrap it first, then try crafting.
