What was wrong with the premise of the first game? Why all the additional stuff? The original was simple, elegant, and awesome. This one went overboard. 3/5.
(these spaces are too small). So, there's still hope for you. Its not your fault you don't know anything about theology - the Catholics don't want their people to learn about theology, because that's how they lose them. You can ask yourself, do i believe what I believe because I believe it or because they told me to. You can mindlessly follow or you can ask 'Why?' Why do we do this? Why do we say this? Why do we believe this? Read about Pope Alexander VI. Read about the Catholic Reformation. Read Luther and Calvin. Heck, start with 'Criticisms of the RCC' on wikipedia if you don't like to read. You're young, there is still hope for you. Calathus, on the other hand, is over-matched.
First of all, thank you for writing more coherently. Secondly, you have to realize that your bias is too strong. The pope isn't in fallible? Wrong, he's a human being, not divine. The popes are God's chosen ambassadors? Wrong again, he's elected by the College of Cardinals, which are also all human beings. Just because you go to mass and can recite the Nicene Creed by heart does not mean you know anything about theology. The fact that you think that the worst popes "could have been living better lives" means that you've never read anything about the history of the papacy or of the Catholic Church. Until you've read anything written by Luther, you're just repeating what they've pounded into your head. Lastly, what you don't know is that there is a large group of Americans today who eventually got fed up with what they were being told and, like Luther, realized the Catholic interpretation of the Bible didn't mesh with their own.
I normally log onto Kong for entertainment. If only I had known there would be something more entertaining than games - the 'discourse' of hattrickhero777. "Do more research"? Are you kidding? According to you: 1. the Protestant Reformation was because "not everyone likes the popes", 2. Protestantism is a religion, and not, in fact, a series of denominations of Christianity, 3. There were no corrupt Popes, and, my favorite, 4. Popes "are some of the holiest people alive". What does that even mean? Do yourself a favor and maybe read a book before posting your semi-literate nonsense in public. The first book you should try and read is the Bible. Actually read it - don't just have your priests read sections of it to you. And the first time you run across the word 'Pope', please let us know.
PS - this game is equally as hilarious as Smatch and gets 5/5.
Sorry Alvin, you seem to be under the mistaken impression that many of the users on this site are even literate. Common misunderstanding. Its best to just avoiding reading most commentary.
