This is the most tedious BOTD I've personally had the displeasure of spastically clicking and highlighting random text outside of the game for an hour to acquire.
At first, I had such an intimate connection with my students. We were a team. A family. Now, I'm just dumping students on the curb as soon as they reach Lv. 11
This was a good game until the absolutely PAINFUL lag. I'm sorry, but that ruined everything. When my input is delayed by FIFTEEN SECONDS, that's when this game can be officially dubbed unplayable.
A tip to my fellow glass cannons: defense is your best offense in this game. If you're like me you probably set all your perks to explosives to kill everything before it can hit you, but that won't work. Nano Bots, M.R.E. Pack, and Armor will have you eating bullets like candy, and you still have about the same damage output.
They key combos are a really interesting feature. One issue: if you accidentally press another key, it doesn't go away. So if you do one combo and press an extra D, then try "AA" a minute later, it'll be "DA" and then an extra A, messing up the next combo too. A nice way to fix this is to make incomplete combos expire after a second. Other than that, it's a nice, simple game.
That's a good idea, however I usually leave a "W" before the next level begins so that I just need to tap "D" quickly.
So I came up with this, to delete a letter of the combo, press "S"
Not sure, but I believe the ripped newspaper tells you which wire to cut. The "ink" at the end as well as the color it's written in being pink indicates that you cut the pink/violet wire.
Anyone commenting on the simplicity of the game might not be familiar with the games of old it was inspired by. This is an arcade classic kind of game, and I love that it isn't just like that in appearance but also gameplay. You didn't have access to all kinds of powerups in old arcade games and in many you had no form of attack. This game is a perfect homage to those old arcade classics. No attack makes it a real challenge and gives you a feel of defenselessness. Enemy variety isn't overwhelming but keeps you on your toes. Everything you may find "missing" in this game just makes it better.
