Oh, I almost forgot! *FE means "Fully Elite," a term used to describe only DO players whose ships are equipped with nothing but the most powerful (and expensive) lasers, shields, and drones. _____ **MMO stands for "M.ars M.ining O.perations" and VRU for "V.enus R.esources U.nlimited", two of the three companies you can join. _____ *** The Goliath is the most powerful ship in the game, and the Pheonix is the weakest ship, which players automatically get when they play for the first time. The Pheonix is the ONLY FREE ship!!!
The reason for this is because, in the primary conflict between Attacker and Target, the invader (Attacker) shot first; Target did not attack, and the scripting uses this pacifist reaction to protect them because 3-1 is where players experience the very beginning of their journey on DO. However, in the second conflict between Attacker and Defender, Defender struck first, forfeiting his pacifist status and thus losing protection from enemy fire. This protection makes sure that players in the X-1 map of their company are protected from being totally owned by FE* players who would outgun them so badly, it's not even FUNNY. ___ Otherwise, merciless player killers would constantly swarm home maps racking up kills off of players who are defenseless against even the second weakest CPU enemy. The level of overkill is truly unimaginable when you think about it. _________ The petition would ask Bigpoint to apply this scripting to the X-2 maps as well.
One FE* MMO** Goliath,*** who shall be called "Attacker" enters, say, the map 3-1 (The VRU station map Where players spawn after dying and repairing ship) and targets a VRU** Pheonix,*** named "Victim," immediately trying to attack unprovoked, but is unable to, because Defender did not, and REALLY shouldn't, open fire. A nearby FE* VRU** Goliath,*** "Defender," spots Attacker and opens fire; Attacker targets Defender and is allowed to attack him.
I totally agree, ZNTRpyro, and Furybolt. ...You know what? I'm gonna start a freaking petition on that... A petition supporting use of a program that protects players in X-2 maps with the EXACT scripting that is used in X-1 maps. What is that scripting, you ask? The best way to explain is with an example. ***This example will be separate from this post, AND in two separate posts itself.***
By the way, would it be possible to add a tool that lets you resize existing shapes? Example: you spawn lava or stone with a size 20 cursor, working on an experiment or maybe art, but can't make a larger (perfect) circle without a larger cursor, which isn't available. With a "Resize" tool, a selection of the screen could be selected in a square or rectangular area, and then the edges of the selection moved inwards (To shrink) or outwards (To enlarge) allowing the player exponentially more options. If this cannot be done, I understand; computer programming has limits XP
Nimbus is right Zombie. Sorry if you don't understand my answer >_< Look at it like this: Lava needs a certain temperature to stay liquid. If nothing else supports that temperature, then the lava has to keep itself molten; because of this, making too little just leaves rock, whereas too MUCH keeps it liquid pretty much forever without either acid, virus, or player intervention.
@Gaussie The CBelt has to be connected to electrified metal, like Heater and Cooler. When it's connected, put something like stone or wax on top, and the material *should* move. Some substances, such as Ash, do not move on a powered CBelt for some reason.
@Zombiekiller The problem with having small amounts (at most 30-50 pixels) is that it probably can't supply enough heat to sustain its own temperature. When there's TOO MUCH, it not only survives, but becomes essentially invincible temperature-wise.
I've built up to the tenth floor. For some reason, the three people who have reached level seven in my file enter the dungeon, only to walk back outside through the blue portal on floor 0. What does this mean, and how can I get fix it?
I love this game. I agree with DawgyDance, and slightly with DancingBull (It is good, but not THAT good... yet *Hint hint to creator*) but the main issue I have is the financial aspect. It's hard to fund individual upgrades when I don't get that many for raiding early levels and everything after the tutorial feels like pro difficulty when it comes to making infamy. And Mulo, I agree with you also; ninjas would be awesome, but there would, sadly, have to be limitations.
Why can't you put in a currency converter? You could make the exchange.... say...
1 GC = 1,000 C, 5 GC = 25 Mystery Points, something like that. The reason I suggest 1GC for 1,000 gold coins is cuz the green ones are really hard to get, but the gold are insanely common. So, you give a lot of gold coins for a few green ones. Same principal for Mystery points. In order of value... I'd suggest YC (Gold Coins) > Mystery Points > Green Points > Boosts > EXP (The boost I know already exists, and the exp thing is just a suggestion for people who don't care much about their level, and wanna get more money) If you don't like this idea, alright, sure. It is YOUR game, after all >.> I just find it freaking impossible to get green coins without taking forever
