I think a gems per second feature might've been pretty useful. Essentially it'd just multiply how many times per second your auto-attack could break the current ore by the chance of getting a gem per ore.
I'm a little disappointed there were no puzzles where you had to use a businessman's briefcase attack to catapult another person across a pit too far to jump or kick someone across. Still, fun game.
Is there a wiki for this world you've set up or something? I really want to know more about the fithlings and whatever those merchants who reffered to themselves in the plural were.
A short game that doesn't really want for anything, and even has an original and ingenious mechanic to boot. 5/5, though I think it would've been neat if you explored the wait mechanic just a little bit more, such as the people stopping the bridge construction if you wait n it because there's a huge scary stone man in their way.
Oh, and something else to think about in the "sacrifice" scenario I put forth. The AI does not need food, water, or oxygen, so its chances of survival are much greater than yours.
Bit of advice: Even though it's possible, don't finish growing the tree when the best weapon you have is a hand gun, and you have no skill pointss in anything but research and grow time.
*SPOILERS* I think a third ending could consist of asking the AI about the computer it's running on, then convincing it to let you put said computer on the escape pod (which should get around the "no copying" thing keeping it from escaping) The problem is, it's so big that the escape pod couldn't escape the quasar with both of you on it. So, would you sacrifice your own life for that of a sapient machine?
