Minx, you're somewhat right. Per battle, it's much easier to kill everything. But later on, when you need a lot of AP, it would have been smarter for you to not kill them - and get the extra AP.
Hotflungwok, while it may be a bit difficult to save all the survivors, it is possible. I'll admit, it does get very hard in levels with mass amounts, but within the first few levels, its very easy to save them - you just have to be willing to take damage. And, i think thats what the creator of this game was trying to do. You can... A: Use your small abilities, to work around the survivors. Takes more time to kill enemies, but you get more AP. Since you're taking damage, you'll have to spend some of that AP for healing. Or you can.. B: Use all your abilities and kill everything in site, but you won't get as much AP. In the long run, you get a little bit more AP from Savior. And, I don't think the Tsunami+BallLightning is that amazing. Yes, it kills just about everything - but, thats just the thing. If you're a Savior, you're not going to use that combo. So the Killers may get less AP in the long run, but they can use that combo without ruining their Affinity.
I think an Apocalypse 2, with more levels, and more abilities would be one of the greatest games on Kongregate. Also, for those of you that whine about not having enough AP, keep playing level one over and over again until you get all five awards. (Saving ALL survivors in a level gets you big points)
This game is amazing. Very rarely can I find games that I can just play, and play, and play. One thing that can be helpful for the beginning of the game, and for long-term play is buy a lot of abilities in the start, and spam those. Then later on, upgrades my basic fire ability, with the Fire Damage+ ability. It rocks socks. ^_^ 5/5
I've played this game before, deff 5/5. But, when I saw that it had achievements, i went to play it again - and the game wont load. It goes to the light blue loading screen, and stops 1/4th of the way there. Any help? ?_?
Lvl 11: Grab the key, run up barely on the ramp, then jump against the over head wall and let the rocks go under you. Then when you're pushing the rock into the lava, push it over, double-jump on top, get the acorn and key, then as its falling in, jump off and get the bottom acorn. Then you'll have to die in the spike pit (but, one death is better than par 2)
Also in Level 9. You don't have to kill yourself to use as a stepping-stone to get above the wood blocks. you use the double-jump glitch (jump on the wall, and you can jump again)
I assume getting all Par's will put you at 25 lives left. Well its actually possible to beat it with 28 lives left. How to get the extra three is in one of the beginning levels, when you have to jump in the rolley thing across the lava; jump on the edge of it right as it starts to lower.
How to get the other two is on 1-3, par is 3, but, all you have to do is let one die; jump on that one, and sit on the left side of the dead animal, and it will slowly scoot to the right.
A bit slow in my opinion. Seems like a fun game; not too original, but, come on, whos really gonna make an ORIGINAL game??
If it was a bit less laggy, and with slightly better graphics, i would say you have a very very nice game. Now, I'd say 3/5.
This game is not all luck. Come on people. If you play this game as "roll *takes everything*", then, yes, it is luck.
However, what you're SUPPOSE to do to win, is decide is the number of dice youre taking away worth the points youre getting.
And for all of those of you that say that it's rigged; and you complain about the pc getting 2 '1500s' in a row, well, yes, that is luck. There have been times that the pc had 6000, and I had 1500, and I still won. Just because they get a good amount of points in a round, doesnt mean you need to freak out.
I see some similarities to MtG, but, they're so different that it's like a whole other game. 5/5.
(I would say make a #2 with many, many more cards; and online play. And you would have one of the best games I've ever seen.)
