Hehe, great game. Excellent reason to not be so popular though: you don't have to worry about finding some "me" time. I'm not sure if the mouse controls are bad or not and that's why people were complaining about the controls since I used the keyboard, but I had no issues with using the keyboard. Only problem is that the game is too short. I would like it if the storyline continued with secret meetings throughout the school year trying to keep your romance a secret so jealous people don't try to hurt you or the girl. Even with the game being too short, I still give the game 5/5 stars.
So... going to http://www.allfreegames.eu/ brings me to a website that has videos from Vice and Vox, with one of the videos being a YouTube video about how a man that washes dishes charges $60K to design custom guns. Ok, that's most likely what the game did NOT link to 10 1/2 years ago when it was released. So I decided to check web.archive.org for Aug. 13, 2009, one day after this game was published on Kongregate, and got something much more reasonable. https://web.archive.org/web/20090813153532/http://www.allfreegames.eu/. It makes me wonder how other websites will change over the years.
@Dkpure: Are you sure you don't have Firefox set to delete cookies when you close a webpage? There is a privacy option which will delete cookies when a webpage closes.
Wow, I got the BotD on Nov. 01, 2010, but I never actually finished the game because I don't have any of the other 3 badges. Glad this game was a BotD, now I know I didn't complete it and can finish it.
@TheKri: It's BECAUSE of all the spooky stuff humans still want to build that temple. After all, when you have supernatural stuff going on, best to make sure your god is the strongest. Of course, it would be easier to change which god you worship, but humans are stubborn and will follow the government religion. /shrug
Wow, how did I miss this game for over 8 years. I've been doing almost every BotD since it first came out and I've not played this game before. As for the game itself, it's fairly good. Like Skwaug said in the Best Comments, it would be nice if you had better control of the camera. Overall, I give the game 4/5 Stars, though it would have gotten 5/5 if the camera issue had been fixed.
@RealBigOleDummy: Um, I'm not sure if you're purposefully trying to make a dummy comment to go with your name or not, but this game does allow mouse controls, at least for Firefox.

@PonceMcBeaty: I got mine on Feb. 14, 2013. Almost 7 years ago and I still remember the basic premise of the game, which was pretty good, but still had flaws, so I only gave it 3/5 Stars.
Wow, I remember this game. This is one of the first Flash games that came out on Kongregate, and one of the first Flash games I ever played. It's interesting seeing how even after 10 years there are very few if any games that have this game mechanics, meaning it is still rather unique. It's just too bad that the issues with the game, such as not being able to force yourself to land and refuel haven't been fixed in with an update or a new version of the game. I really hope there will be a way to continue playing Flash games when browsers will no longer support them though. Having games like this never being able to be played again would be really annoying.
Huh? I started the game and Firefox says, "An error occurred running the Unity content on this page. See your browser JavaScript console for more info. The error was: uncaught exception: WebAssembly support is not detected in this browser." What is THAT supposed to mean?
Pretty good game, 4/5 stars from me. Some bugs to watch out for. First, you can't use the Elf Supply Drop spell until after you buy the Jack Frost spell. I'm not sure if there is a bug with the Oh Tannenbombs spell as I never used it. Second, the BB guns kids and Krampus can attack you even if they are off the screen but you can only hurt them if they are in the screen or just off the screen. This makes Wave 10: Long Distance the hardest stage if you have the Snowblower equipment upgrade and/or high pushback from Improved Power specials upgrade as they will force the enemies off the screen, so you may not want to get those two upgrades. As for beating the game, upgrade Scavenger Nano-Elves to max early on to farm money easier, followed by Elf Supply Drop to max with Jack Frost spell unlocked so you can use the supply drop spell. Then repeat Wave 8: Ski Trip until you have maxed out the last weapon, and you should be good to go.
@Naud1234: That's probably because most quick reload guns use magazines which store bullets. So when the magazine in the gun is removed, all the bullets are thrown away and replaced by a full magazine.
Perfect game for Christmas season, and fun to play anytime of the year. If you like the game "Kids Vs. Ice Cream" which was made by the same developer as this game then you'll also like this game. 5/5 Stars from me.
@archerbob: I did it in 473 seconds (7 min 53 sec) as my best time, with some friends showing up with less than 400 seconds. You just need to avoid all extraneous things and only do what needs to be done, and treat the game as just a big game of dodging while going from point A to point B until you reach the end. You WILL want to first plan everything out by exploring. It will take a few tries as it is both memorization on where you need to go and skill in enacting your plan.
I wish there was a way to save your different layouts for completing a level, so when you try to different methods of winning you can view your previous attempts. This would also take care of the problem of accidentally placing something down ore removing something when you have already solved a level. I had gotten a gold star one level, and had apparently accidentally placed an one-way gate in the past afterward which ruined everything, and I had to figure out that I had done that which is why I couldn't beat the level again.
