Wow, it's been years since I played this game. While having unplayed great games are still the best BotDs, it's sometimes fun seeing good games being brought back to mind with the BotDs.
The only major issue is that the game doesn't tell you what you need if you want to get an A rank. A minor issue is that you have to pause the game then select restart, but I actually prefer that since it would be a big pain if I accidentally hit "R" like some people want it to restart the stage and I lose all my progress for the stage. So, 4/5 stars from me.
This game is a visual novel game. That means it is a novel put together so that you decide how the novel progresses. So if you enjoy novels, then you will like this game. If you don't like novels and prefer action games then you won't like this game. Please keep that in mind and rate this game based on it genre, not on whether you like this game genre or not.
"Automatic Turret: A must-have for suburban home security." Oops, I didn't know that. I guess I'd better one for myself and my relatives as a Christmas present. Gotta protect our lawns!
2 things: First, this game is a puzzle game, so don't complain about the game being hard to figure out. It is supposed to work your brain. If you don't like puzzle games then I suggest you skip this Badge of the Day. Second, this game is one of the earliest Flash games on Kongregate. Today is Sept. 15, 2018 while this game was published on Sept. 16, 2018. So 1 day less than 10 years ago this game was published, which means its not gonna have all the features that more recent games have.
Overall a pretty good game. Their are 3 problems with the game: 1st, the double jump feature is hard to use. 2nd, there are multiple places where you can jump over the side of the screen and you have to either press Spacebar to have that person commit suicide, press the pause button on the upper-right and restart the room, or go to the next section which eliminates all the other clones. 3rd, the 3rd chapter is harder than the 4th chapter due to 2 of the last rooms having forced platform moving with no warm-up to them. Then, the next chapter is easy. Again, overall a pretty good game, so I give it 4/5 Stars. I'm surprised I never played this game 3 years ago.
@GeniusPlayer: Try getting some more stars to unlock the more powerful weapons. Once you have those, start a stage and if you don't get the more powerful weapon soon then restart the stage. That should allow you to beat the stage quickly.
Well, I've played it for about 6 hours. I think its a good game. Let us know when the game data won't be lost whenever the browser tab is closed and I'll try out farther and see how the Ascension feature works and confirm that the offline resource gaining works. Unless the game isn't currently supposed to lose all save data on close. Because if it isn't then that is a huge bug in the program right now.
For those having trouble with Lv. 9 like I originally did, here's a hint: When the bed gets dropped the knight will jump high enough out of it that he'll bounce off the wall on the far right that is just before the far right flames instead of walking into the flames.
FYI: 1. You CAN turn off Shake on the main menu. 2. Your mouse getting captured on the edge of the screen is a feature. You can use that to teleport from one side of the game to the other by moving your mouse outside of the game and then moving it over the game somewhere else. This is a handy feature for when you need to get past a blockade that you can't eat yet to reach something you can eat.
Great game, 5/5 Stars from me! Too bad it took me 2 years before I noticed this game. I'm glad it was a BotD which forced me to notice it. I'll definitely try out the sequel.
