As others have written, the basic idea is interesting. However, the game suffers from two big problems: (1) balance is completely messed up because tower vs. unit strength is completely off kilter and the pathing is just plain stupid; and (2) fading enemies are stupid. 2/5.
This game is a visually interesting implementation of a very simple idea. However, whoever made it obviously hasn't played it, since it's mindnumbingly boring, frustrating, and not fun at all. I wish I could give this a 0/5.
Simple, fun, quick game. Be sure to read the mission descriptions and equip your purchased items, or otherwise you'll find yourself one of the myriad idiots posting comments saying this very easy game is "hard."
Apocalypse difficulty is the only real challenge, and it can be pretty frustrating. The repetitive nature of the game makes play slow and often boring. 3/5.
The game controls are so frustrating that I was finished with this game before the end of the first level. Seems like it could be an interesting concept, though.
I was quite frustrated with this game until I learned three things: 1) go brute; 2) randomizers pull from different sets of creatures depending on what area you're in; 3) just repeat little battles until your creatures are all at max lvl (50). Then it's cake.
Is fun. Much harder than the original, but the shop and modes are nice. Wish you could port the same party from one campaign to another. 3/5 because difficulty is sometimes retarded.
i've tried about 50 times to beat the shadow boss in lvl 4, and i give up. i miss 84% of my stuns and disruptions (i counted). i'm several levels over him and just don't have the energy. for being so stupidly frustrating at the end, a new 1/5 from this otherwise entertaining game.
