eh, cave maps are cheap sometimes....not complaining about the intentional things. But sometimes an explosion makes an enemy fly from across the entire map right on my castle, where they can whack at it.. even if I react immediately and tell a unit to go there.. or if I keep a unit to guard it (I use my hero to do that mostly), they still get to nail the castle sometimes.. if you're unlucky enough, you'll lose just cuz of bad luck.. bleh >=P
Good game, but some things bother me:
duel spec mastery doesn't seem to be as powerful as it says, I have it nearly maxed out and when I have a duel gem it says "increases damage, range, and firing speed by 60%" or something.. yet my gems range will go from 91 ish to maybe 105-110ish.. hardly 60%.
I've also seen level 1-4 red gems fail to do ANY splash damage to enemy units, even when they are stacked together so closely, that you can only see 1 healthbar.. does it get better by level 6+ or something?
I also don't like how each gem color has a hard cap for their proc%. For example I like chain hit gems so I maxed out bouncing gem mastery, but the bounce% is capped at 40...which it reaches at just gem level 3, a level 6 gem is still 40%.. not only that but duel-gemming has new hard caps (25%). It makes the skills like bouncing gem mastery pretty questionable for uses imo.
wow.. is it some kinda joke where people complain it's too hard or something? If you're litereally illiterate I guess I can understand but you're posting comments so that can't be it. I just don't understand.
The levels of this game need to be longer, to take advantage of the "deep" leveling system of each individual level. currently a level is over before you can really upgrade more than 2 units a decent amount (decent being still a level or 2 away from maximum).
IMO a really hard level should require strategic use of multiple specialists with slows, debuffs, splashes, etc. But most levels are pretty much solved by a couple mages and warriors maxed out for damage alone.
wtf is a float.. skis? I found that they are the worst of the 3 disposable upgrades at the right side. I agree with murph's strat though, shoot low, use freaky, then a soda immediately after a freaky. I'm not sure if it's best to blow 3 sodas after 1 freaky or save 1 per, couldn't care enough t o try both.
game is incredibly simple and it still isn't tuned right. For example on level 14 you can let a single car you have stopped thru, and there will be absolutely no traffic at all incomming in the other direction after you click green, as it proceeds to crash into the car you went thru. Unless the player is supposed to be psychic, there's nothing you can do.
Aye, the spawn level is completely lame imo.. Trick is to use bash towers, and don't fool yourself into utilizing the towers in the middle, they are just filler mostly.
the game is fun and great and all. but the BOSSES are the best you've seen?! They are by far the worst aspect of this game. they have no challenge other than whacking them until they blink at which point you step aside and proceed to pwn them. The difficulty of hte said bosses is noticing them flash while you're hitting em. For cool boss fights play gradius, ys, or something.
Boss is hardly impossible. beat it without even getting hit once on my first try. No I'm not bragging how leet I am. I just like games such as gradius and r-type. play those kinda games and you'll understand how the boss is actually not all that difficult. you just need the shooter instinct.
started playing htis like 15 mins ago. flamethrower unlocked and I must say it still seems rather weak. it kills stuff just barely faster than 'g' or 's' but leaves you very vulnerable to whatever fires back.
yeah xazncluless. your gunmen stop firing if one of the short range enemies make it to your wall somehow (you got to gun them down manually and then the gunners will resume).. kinda silly singling out a swordman at your base or something while there are warmechs and tanks about.
anybody give me a shout/whisper if you can find a link to an in-depth guide for this game please. I tried googling for one but just found other sites that let you play the game itself. I'm curious what exactly each upgrade for each color does. like for example I didn't expect the 3rd cyan upgrade gives you 2 turrets until after I got it. As for the other guy commented about limited movement. you can. that's the pink powerup though.
Anyway I think this game is quite cool. It isn't very similar to.. but really reminds me of amorphus+ kinda. I rekon people who like one game should enjoy the other. Amorphus has better animation/sound/action feel to it. but this one has a nicer feel of customization and skill required rather than luck imo.
