almost positive the 100 is impossible without juggling lime. The flying waves alone are utterly impossible without aHEAPS of swarm towers, freeze towers, and maybe even snap towers. However I agree with other people where juggling is just part of the game. Refusing to juggle is pretty much like refusing to wear chest armor when you play diablo 2 or something.
I however share the feelings some people have about juggling about how it just kills the enjoyment of these games. It might not for many people, but my sense of fun just doesn't include juggling >=).
Regardless, the game is great.
mike538, sorry but I call foul. I am 99% sure the 100 is impossible without juggling. I tried both your youtube videos, one of them doesn't even show the 100, and the other one features juggling before even wave 10.
Anyway the game is great. I just have a few beefs with it... well note I've not tried survival mode yet:
Dwarves in the 2nd campaign are significantly harder than other mob types. It just seems wrong that level 10 dwarves are harder than level 12 undead or whatever.
In addition item quality seems awkward at times. I had a level 8 green breastplate of speed with 80ish armor and +6 to quickness or something. and then I got a level 9 blue breastplate of speed which had less armor, AND less quickness, and nothing else.
I also got a level 14 dragonhide armor thingie which also has less armor (by like 40 to boot), less quickness (by 10) and nothing over my blue breastplate 4 levels old but 30 poison resist or something to that effect. Seems pretty underwhelming for an epic.
killing the hydra seemed easy to me by ignoring the heads and focusing on the hydra itself. my party was warrior, cleric, mage, barbarian. I stuck the barbarian in the middle to c harge the hydra, and used my mage to stun heads with astral prison) and nuke the hydra. It took awhile since my major source of damage was barbian charges (and my power regen wasn't great) but I took very little damage in return, my priest was sitting at near full mana the whole time.
finished it now yay.. I was thinking about the opposite zaked.. needs more challange levels. Story levels are rather blah. "rawwrrr", "eeek". "I will kill you", "no I'll kill YOU!".
anyway though that game was a good time, I rekon the talent tree thingies could use some variety between the classes though.
hmm didn't know you could shatter bolt twice. But yeah I was doing something similar. waiting juuust before 0989999 hp, stunlock/dpsing him as fast as I can, then subversioning at the end. isn't quite working out so far though.
Is that monster's den game like this at all? I haven't tried it yet. wanna finish this first.
missed his heal with subversion by 1 turn again.. @#%@#%@%
this doctor boss is total bs. It's really effing tedious and frusterating to GUESS when to use subversion for his heal. Every damn time it's either 1 turn after or 1 turn before I put the debuff on him. otherwise the game is well balanced. But seriously please delete that @#%%#@ing boss. he's not even hard, just boring, long, tedious, and annoying.
yeah really seems like it's completely impossible without juggling.
speaking of swarm towers. is it even worth fully upgrading them? seems like the 2nd last upgrade is the most cost effective
seriously though. has anybody ever done the 100 without juggling? I respect it takes planning and coordination. but I just don't enjoy defense games when I start juggling so don't really wanna bother working on it if it's impossible without doing it
Normally I'm good at these defense games but I just suck at this one. I can't figure out how you get past wave 12-16 without any significant amount of lives lost without using a maze that wont totally suck at wave 7
