With that said, given the mechanics of the game, I'm not sure there are many ways you could increase the win rate and the win consistency without taking away the challenge, which is what makes the game so much fun.
So, I absolutely love the game. I have wins on all characters on easy, and half of them on hard currently. Sitting at level 17. Like many, I would like to call the win rates into question. There are certain combos of modifiers that work very well with certain characters, and some perks that make it almost laughably easy to win with the right equipment (sustained block, curse mastery, and no poison/flame decay to name a few). For a vast majority of runs, however, the viability for a win is entirely dependent on finding select pieces of gear and consumables. Even then, I am guessing the 5% win rate relies on games where people refreshed to reset battles that didn't go favorably. I would guess on some characters, the win rate would be closer to .5%-1% with no resets involved due to the randomness of item, perk, and food availability. The game remains incredibly fun, but even knowing valid strategies, any sort of win consistency is laughable without either the right modifiers or refreshes.

@ScorpioDante There are certain times, in those tricky areas, where there is a maneuver that is /possible/ but difficult to replicate, even more so if you haven't gotten a feel for how speed and acceleration affect lane switching. I promise its possible, it may just be very difficult to get the timing right.
@krisklef The cost isn't a material cost, and having a timer would defeat the purpose. What the skills are designed to do is to keep your focus on the game.
The real grind begins at PL30 between Pure Gold (8.3 QuattorSeptuagintillion) and Particles (153 QuattorSeptuagintillion). Even with about a weeks worth of resources and boosts from the vortex with x5 resources, and x3 profits and x6 to my higher production side, it has been 3 days and will likely be another 2 or 3 between these managers.
I said it before and I'll say it again, I was looking forward to seeing how fast I could fly through levels once I hit level 31 and GL9 because its been so long, but now there is no way to do that. The lack of a vortex reset is wonderful for 16-25, but after that the game gets stale without it.
Hoping it wont take too insanely long to get to 28 from 25, I really want to see how fast I progress through the beginning, since the last time I did was GL3, and next will be GL8.
On top of all the other complaints that i have seen expressed, get the "click to close" button out of my face and off the elements. This game is a poorly thought out piece of cash-grabbing trash.
One of the things I loved most about Adventure Capitalist when it came out was that the dev team seemed to really care about the playerbase. We all know where that went. As of right now, you are blowing away even what they used to do. Please, for the love of god, don't take the loyalty everyone here feels and follow the same path. Stay awesome! Cheers!
The number of cubic planck lengths that would fit in the observable universe pales in comparison to the number of Overmind 6's I have. Forget meat, and forget scale. This game does not follow the bounds of our universe.
Ah, silly me. I commented after returning but before reading the authors reply to a previous comment. I look forward to playing once offline gains are implemented in the near future!
While it hasn't always been the case, any idle that doesn't have some form of offline gains feature is destined to fail. Its a shame, because I liked the specialization concept too. I'll probably check to see if they have been added in about a week, otherwise, I'm done with this game before I even really started.
There should be some way to spend free respecs other than on free respecs. I have never spent any, and have 7 sitting there, useless. I almost want it to be "Special Mutations" or something that can be spent like tokens. An idea would be one for a respec, one to restart with 10 of the second-highest bug you currently have, and 2 or three for a mutagen claim without a reset.
The potions mechanic is weird to me. Mostly the fact that having 2 defense buffs in one potion doubles the duration of the defense buff not the defense level. I can understand if it were multiples of the same potion, but I have no idea how much of a boost I'm getting at any given time when I have a buff for the next 150 turns, separated by 7 different boost qualities. So my only complaint would be the lack of a guide for stat mechanics.
