Please please please scale quest rewards better (this was a problem in the first game, too)
A consistent 3-5% of level would be great...getting a tenth of a percent per quest is just dumb.

The essence of a good idle is making it have some marginal user input based on user time. Not much, but enough to keep people interested and glancing over every now and then while chatting. I would advise adding tons. In keeping with the name, something like:
Upgradeable armor/weapons for character
Upgradeable house for character (from hovel to castle!)
If you want, some sort of fighting system to level up/get exp
If added, quests! (go to x zone to fight x monster, pick up y amount of item, etc"
Some sort of money/currency system to buy upgrades, items, etc with
