Too many things going on, too easy to die, powerups rarely last longer than 2 seconds in a multi game. Great idea, love the coop, just not really polished.
Why is this game so successful? Because no cares were given. He just created a fun game that you could sink a million hours into and still want to go play one more mini game. :D
I must disabuse you of such pretentious notions that this electronically pixelated diversion will distract this band of stalwart adventurers from destructively ending the tyranny of idle garbage!
Pros:
Fun, Fast, easy to level, good graphics, no lag
Cons:
Control scheme is messy, maybe an alternate up/down for movement and pick up coins with mouse.
Can easily get monotonous when you die on the last hit of a boss from completely unavoidable damage.
Hit detection is spotty for enemy attacks.
You can get bugged with one of the baby "dragon things" on the way to the second boss... I had one left, and I was out of fuel to fly so all I could do was jump. But it stayed out of reach and just kept shooting. I couldn't collect fuel since no other enemy would spawn with him there. And the boss woudln't spawn either.
Wait... lasers... did the BUGS build lasers?... Underground O_o.. The bugs obviously made from adamantitium to be able to destroy a massive mining ship.
