Took me a loooooooooong time to finally perfect the tailslides and starslides, but I finally reached the restaurant. Thanks to all who posted advice. BTW, on my final restaurant-reaching run, my highest jump was 2387m, my longest jump was 5627m, and score was 134+ million.
I really can't complain about much with this game. The luck seems to ebb and flow both ways pretty evenly. The only issue I really have is that there seems to be awards for zilch-free games, but I find it nearly impossible to have 2 in a row, like the stats sheet would have you believe is attainable.
got the 600. trick is to get to about 480+ then just start stacking one over another. I barely made it with 602 before half the tower crashed... and I had 2 blocks left
Took me forever, but here's what I did - get the shotgun, you'll need nothing else till Ol Glory. Get a Flamer Joe and a Fan for a couple rounds, just to hold off the minions. Upgrade gunners and repairs. Upgrade wall. Get a Laser Tower. Once you have enough gunners (25+ or so), sell the Flamer Joe and Fan towers, buy 2 more lasers. At the end, I had Old Glory (bout halfway upgraded), 3 fully maxed laser towers, 106 gunners, 40 repairmen, and a fully maxed wall. The trick is to have enough gunners to wipe out the masses. Your lasers, once maxed, and Old Glory will take care of the big robots and tanks. The game lags like crap after wave 30, so be prepared to wait - but many levels you don't have to do anything once your lasers are maxed and your gunners are 50+. The last 4 or 5 levels make sure to use Old Glory to take out the rock'em sock'em robots.
damn that last level is hard as crap. shame I don't wanna go through it all again (and it's impossible if you get to the last level, die, and continue - cause you end up with 4 or 5 bosses instead of 2)... so close to the 60 pt. badge. *sigh*
it's cheap. The enemy comes from both sides here and there throughout a level, but right when you're about to beat every level, your henchmen get stuck behind and you have to help them - either you try to get to the end, or go backwards and do it all over again. There should be an enemy limit per level... when it happens on the so-called "easy" levels, it's total BS.
I don't know why I can't get the 5 and 15 pt. badges. I've gotten the card, the hard, and the impossible badges, yet the other two won't register, no matter how many times I do them over again.
FINALLY finished the challenges for the 60 pt. badge. IMO, it was a good 60 pt. badge. Doable, but you have to stick with it and, quite simply, get lucky as hell for 15 & 16.
On a side note, I still have not received badges for the insanity and 25+ hit achievements. There is a bug somewhere.
In addition to randomly losing a card slot in some games, I still haven't gotten badges for completing the 5, 15, and 30 pt. achievements. Anyone else having these problems? I got the card, but none of the badges are working for me.
