(to clarify, those are two separate and unrelated issues. I thought I had a line break in there, but I guess not.)

Trickshot doesn't seem to work. With it inactive I got +1 damage after two bounces. With it active I still get +1 damage after 2 bounces. Sometimes enemies take damage for no apparent reason. I'm not attacking, and I'm not getting hit to trigger any sort of retaliation, they just suddenly explode with the same damage number as if I had hit them. It happens most often to nearby enemies, but I've seen enemies explode without ever entering the range of my auras occasionally. Blocks that project auras will also randomly turn themselves off, again sometimes without my ever entering their area of effect.

Solution to level 13: First, use fire magic to get the crystal by the bee. Before unlocking the door, melt 1 level of the ice. Hop over the fire monster and grab the earth scroll, then quickly jump down using earth before you land. If timed right, the monster will melt the rest of the ice only to immediately bounce off your statue, heading back towards the ghosts. This gives you time to jump down the hole in statue form (I actually fell through on my initial jump down from where the scroll was, but the monster still bounced off me once on my way down, which is why pre-melting one layer is useful), hit the lever, and make it across the mini-pit before the fire monster makes it down. From there, it is a simple matter to use the earth magic to slowly push your way to the right and climb, then grab the crystal after the slime has left.

There is an easier way to deal with the lava golem, but that was clever!

@Deciusbrutus In case you've forgotten, you can press space to pause the game, then tap shift to advance the game 1 frame at a time. It's very useful in many later levels.

@Me19: Buy a bunch of salt at "Soul Goods" (you can farm it from salt zombies, but you probably need armor to win that fight which means you need leatherworking first), deposit it at "Tammy's Tannery". Hunt in Quepland Woods for rabbits. Gut the rabbits, bring the pelts to the tannery. Select "Cure or Tan item", it should have an option for the rabbit pelts you are carrying. 6 hours later, claim the leathers and recieve a bunch of leatherworking exp. Buy and use a leatherworking toolkit to turn the leather into armor, earning more leatherworking exp in the process.

Jumping out of the box when you release the up key instead of when you press it is unintuitive and feels wrong. It's especially bad since you don't have actual instructions, and there are other plausible reasons a game might delay an action from when [you think] you input the command.

@pacogoatboy: Regular regeneration only kicks in at low health. You can spend some skill points to improve it, but even then it tops out at around 3/4 of your health bar, and for the same amount of investment you could instead get a full heal each time you clear an area, or much higher chance of health pack drops + a small heal when picking up money. As for spending money to improve regen, that just speeds up how quickly you regen. The more important stat for regeneration is usually health, since 3/4 of 200 health is still twice as much as 3/4 of 100 health.

Is there a way to unequip talents? After not finding any charm for a while I finally spent a ton of money on a +3 charm of blinking, only to find that I can't use it because all my active talent slots are full, including one talent I regret purchasing and barely use, and 1 that really doesn't need a hotkey because I'm never going to untoggle it. I can switch the order around, but any attempt to bring the charm just end up returning the charm to my inventory.

Trying to join the Pyromilites, I completed the quest for the ring early on only to realize that I needed better armor before it would do me any good. Fido said not to leave the village with the ring, so I dutifully returned it before leaving to search. Now I have good enough armor, but Fido won't let me borrow the ring again and I see no way to continue.

Developer response from Beranek

Fido asks you if you're done using the ring, and the game prompts you to confirm - if you do, you can't get the ring back. On the other hand, if you leave the village with the ring, Fido takes it back from you, but is willing to let you borrow it again. I'll probably change how this works, but as of now, you have to start over - sorry about that. But it shouldn't take you long, since you aparently only killed your first shade so far.

@shadree Your ship doesn't need to be fast since you only need move a tiny bit left and right to weave between the waves. Once it starts firing waves at differing speeds you may need to use slow time, but with that many bullets you gain charge fast enough to frequently flicker on slow time and still build charge. In case you haven't noticed, you deal more damage after firing continuously for long enough. Beating a level quickly (meaning less time in which you could make mistakes) therefore involves building up full charge and finding an opportunity to unload the entire thing. Any time you lose a ship, enemies stop firing for a bit. This can provide an extra opportunity to unload a full charge. Obviously this is useless for getting a perfect run, but it could serve as a cheap trick to get you past this chokepoint, then you can retry after getting the power-ups from later levels. Level 5 is fairly unique, so it is plausible that you could handle those easily despite struggling on Vela.
