@poperotsi You'll run across this in the future. When too much of an element reaches its specific endpoint, it'll explode (which means you fail). Put an eye to redirect and limit the amount of mixture that goes in.
.50 Cal is a piece of crap compared to the AK-47. It needs an accuracy boost - .50's are incredibly precise, but this one has a shot pattern damn near like a .12 gauge.
Bullshit. I get down to about level 7 or 8 and I get to the boss and I insta-die. I get hit like a hundred times and my screen goes blood red and blacks out.
How to win in Soviet Russia:
1) get ahead of the pack...
2) ...kick, bite, taunt, and shank anyone that gets close to you...
3) ...while distracting the judges or lying about your competition.
Sounds about right.
Good game. Could use a little spice, I suppose, but it could also use some badges. I went through it the first time with eight gunners, two heavy infantry, and eight repairmen, as well as two mortars and two gatlings. I lost not a single wall segment or man. That said, I had to keep on my toes there for a while. Decent challenge :D
The key to winning apocalypse mode is to build up early. I threw down three ion cannons and upgraded them under much fire until they were all level three. I threw up two more and did the same. Basically, a good offense is better than a good defense, because if they're not hitting the surface, they're not killing your populace off. Go hard offense. After those ions got built up, I placed five economic centers and maxed one of them, then started on missile centers and finished the entire upper row in Level 4 ion cannons. I'm making upwards to 100B a click now. Endgame, you should have roughly 1/3 Ion, 2/3 missile, about 6 missile defense, and 5 or Economy centers. Go get 'em!
