The red blocks LIKE falling to there death! They are so miserable and want to end it all but they can't because they are square and can't move. That is why they smile and laugh when they fall. :P

If you have trouble beating the end boss here's how:
Just move around a lot and DO NOT collect fairyflies until there are 5 or more in the boss room.
Then collect all the fairyflies at once and activate the runestone quickly.
HINT- The darkling boss takes turns opening and closing its mouth, if you have fairyflies he will eat them when his mouth is open and he doesn't if his mouth is closed.
