I always find it amusing how people compare things to FF when its inherently different in all ways barring the fundamental aspects of the genre. Not to mention that each FF plays differently, FF6 and FF13 have a very different gameplay style and feel..
Given how the Dark One acts towards Landor, I'm pretty sure he was also training under the same person as Landor and Lucas. He comes off as less of a dreadful villain and more as a edgy teenager, suggesting that he probably is doing evil more because it was easier than good instead of because he himself is evil. This in turn means that if you make a broader game with multiple characters, you could concievably have the team be Lucas, Landor and the Dark One (maybe named Leo? All Ls). Lucas is Defense based, Landor is balanced and Dark One is attack based. This also makes me wonder what would happen if Landor had to fight his mentor?
I feel like instead of the lights flickering repeatedly for the Dark One to appear, it should just be flickering once and then a cloud of darkness appearing, with the sprite for the Dark One in the layer beneath it. That way it looks more ominous and foreboding. Also, the plural of Gold is Gold. Golds is not quite correct grammar. A solid game, good framework for something very complex but still a fun little game that plays like a mini Swords and Souls with minesweeper elements.
*has 305 gold*
"I am a wandering wizard! Would you like to improve your income for 337 gold?"
"I...so...uh...Can you do it and then I'll give you all I have and the loot from my next fight?"
"Nope!"
"Aw..."

*Sees a chest*
"Hm. Well. Okay then. YEARGHABABBLE"
Loved the sudden music shift in the beginning, reminded me of the Xezat's Fleet scene from FFV. Very nicely done, you may not release particularly often but whenever you do it is always a great treat. Awesome humor and plot as always :D 5/5, hope you are feeling better.
Like the badge says, this game belongs in a museum. It is almost too valuable and awe-inspiring for any one person to play. This is perhaps one of the best in its genre and definitely deserving of the top ten (or maybe 15 if you include certain series as multiple games) games on kong. This might be only a quarter pounder in length, but it is top of the line in virtually every way. Console level quality. 5/5.
"Turns out I have a month of vacation leave, let's go to Isla Nublar" you said.
"Didn't everyone get eaten by dinosaurs there?" I said.
"Don't worry, its the fifth grand re-opening, nothing can possibly go wrong" you said.
Well you know what Ian? You suck.
Little word of advice: As Sushi Cat eats sushi, he gets larger and how physics affects him begins to change. As such, even a perfectly straight drop may end up hitting something. I'm not 100% sure of this, but it seems to be the case.
Let's be honest here, how many people didn't expect this game to be the opening BotD without a Kongpanion representing a certain type of...oriental cuisine? ;)
There's quite a few things that we are given no clue as to how it works. For example, Anatomy and Tactics. Anyone know what they do? Are they simply a reminder that we did something x times or are they actually functional?
You should main in only one weapon type, probably not Archery. There are some awesome Swords avalible and Mages end up getting strong spells, but bows are largely eh. However! If you have completely mastered a weapon for an area (hit% is maxed out for everything) and you are in a low level area, use whatever you wouldn't normally use. Tactics and Anatomy I am unsure about, but they are bonuses to...something. Mana Lore improves spells. Always nice. So if you normally hack, slash and/or crawl through a dungeon, pick up a book instead. If you are normally a mage, stab the foes to death. Note that this is strictly for a LOW LEVEL DUNGEON, not a high one. In a high one you will just die.
@Levitore:
You save the game by choosing a side, collecting the various artifacts which dot the land and uniting Tempor under a single, coherent cause, and become a true hero! Oh, you mean save your progress.
@DB888 For whatever reason, zombies can't "smell" One-Eye's brain and he can speak the same dialect as zombies if needed, so he isn't in much trouble unless someone tries to rob him or something. I guess most zombies would just assume he's a really fast moving cosplayer.
As for the other ones I have no clue, maybe there's a type of medicine thing that makes it harder for zombies to tell you are human? I guess One-Eye would just naturally produce that compound on his own then, which would explain why zombies can't smell his brain.
