I walked into the instant death and it froze. I also found the hidden bar but didn't know how to interact with it. Nice look and sounds but not really worth posting now. Looking at the sprite, I want him to throw punches and kicks. I guess he should hallucinate monsters and fight his way through to his fix? That's my idea. Ending he has a drink with a new friend.
This game is way too easy, and most of the attacks are generally useless, which makes upgrading not worth it. Final boss is easy too. Also not a big enough game to get all the upgrades, although I guess that doesn't really matter since most aren't worth getting anyway. This game could really benefit from a difficulty range.
This game is great on a level, but three ending and no replay value is a major problem. Especially having to start from the beginning over and over again.
This game is pretty awesome in it's style but in the beginning the weapons are frustratingly weak, and after the first level I didn't make enough money to buy any cool upgrades. So basically the money comes too slow and therefor the upgrades too. That's the biggest problem for me. And it makes the game frustrating enough that I don't want to keep playing.
It almost seemed scary for a second...but then it got repetitive...waaaaay repetitive. Running around in a crappy 3D environment looking for junk. Now that's horrific!
Don't continue it please...just like with most of your games. I kind of like the style and look, but hate the game play. What a pain to go through. Although it's not all that great ending wise I think this is probably your most satisfying ending. Add a little action and fighting. Play the game yourself and try to subtract annoying cheap deaths that will just aggravate the player. Try to throw in a satisfying ending that makes you feel like it was worth the effort to beat.
So not killing yourself is betrayal, and killing yourself is loyalty. That's beautiful.
I can't believe you actually managed to make a more worthless sprite than the one in the first game. Is that sexism? I don't know what to say.
The highlight of this game was when I walked up to the table hit space and read that I saw a knife there. Wow.
No, but...I don't hate this game. I think you are a good writer, and there are some good visuals...I've basically said all my complaints. I think you need to think harder about making game play cool in your games. Because ultimately the characters won't be likeable if you don't enjoy moving them around. And if the game ends with them being sad and/or dead...that's not a huge bonus either.
No more DLB comparisons. At least in Don't Look Back you could fight. This hero is worthless. Walking around with no arms or his arms at his sides never using them. I want to check out the sequel out of vague curiosity, but this is barely a game.
Sometimes you spend what feels like forever climbing to an area only to fall down so far that you have to climb all the way back up all over again. Or get killed just so you can go way back to your last save...also sometimes you eat a hamburger and then you mess up the game and have no opportunity to undo it! why so unforgiving in a game with unlimited lives!?
