As always, a neat, and very addictive game. Here's an interesting idea. It would be nice to have an "accident investigation" button. Like a replay button for a crash so i can see what i did wrong, with given control tower commands, and speed and altitude stats just before the collision.
I'm excited to see a new airport madness. Interesting to see how the airport changes as the game progresses. I hope kongregate makes badges for this game also.
Lister: Three million years floating in dead space, and now this.
Rimmer: Listey, I told you not to touch that thing Holly made. Remember what happened last time? You got pregnant. I should have ejected that thing out into space eons ago. Now thanks to you, when we finally do reach Earth, we'll be settling on it as interstellar space dust.
Lister: What are you cringing on about? You're already dead.
Rimmer: Yes, thank you very much for reminding me, fish bait breath. It's not enough that every morning i have to ask Holly to evacuate my bowels for me. Or, if i take one false step i'll pass through the ship's hull and float off into space forever. Other than that, i might have forgotten!
Lister: Just keep shooting...
Cat: Will you monkeys keep it down? You're giving my suit stress-wrinkles.
General Tips[more tips on ship maintenance and upgrading]: Build up your repair drones before adding turrets. Drones will automatically repair your turrets after finishing repairs on your hull. A turret you cannot maintain is a destroyed turret; a waste of time and resources. When placing turrets, start in the center 3 spaces on your ship. These are the least susceptible to enemy fire and require the least supervision. Check and repair manually as needed. Never place turrets on the forward section of your hull. The front of your ship is constantly being bombarded with incoming mines, asteroids, and enemy fire, and turrets placed here never last long. Keeping your turrets grouped together will reduce the unproductive travelling time of your repair drones.
General Tips[to keep your game face on in any difficulty level]: on attacking small fighters- Don't shoot sporadically. Make a wall of impenetrable fire, and move it slowly towards center of swarm. on asteroids- 3 or 4 small rocks are more deadly than one big rock. if you can't destroy it completely, then don't fire upon it. on mines- These are top priority. Very deadly. Nevermind the top and bottom ones, they won't hit your ship(unless dragged by your fighters). Multiple fighters do come in handy here. on capital ships- Always aim for the unobstructed turret. Turret hits also damage the hull, and reward you more points when destroyed first, not to mention they will no longer be able to fire back.
Woohoo! i beat the game in only 30 days...on Internet Explorer. [blaagh] sorry, i just barfed a little when i said Internet Explorer[Blaaaghghgh] sorry...
i played this a couple of years ago an came back to it. Man, i forgot how good this game is. Maybe the best grade/flight game i've ever played. I think the music did the trick.
I like how the game says "Don't try this at home," when you upgrade to rocket engine. I remember taping a bottle rocket into a paper airplane when i was a kid. It didn't fly very well, but at least it exploded. That was pretty cool.
Day 10 of playing this game. Homer has eaten his 338/1000th donut. These things are harder than diamonds! At this rate it will take me 3 weeks to get the 1000 donuts badge. Kicking Homer's ass was really only fun for the first 2 or 3 days. Huh...i have no life. But, i do this for the k community. I'm just sure something really amazing is going to happen... i'll keep you informed. Also striving to get 15k(?) badge. Come on, pure luck!!!
We could put a parachute on the rocket and bring it down gently when it runs out of fuel, or we could aim for those dammn bi-planes on the way down. Umm...plan B sounds good.
Thanks for the feedback! i'm really busy this week but I will work the game on this weekend.
